Contest $25 Contest - Business Card Design

    Hi there -

I'm looking to have a business card designed for my company. The contest will be open for 48 hours after which I will choose a winner who will be sent $25 via PayPal and I will expect original copies of the design in both jpeg and PSD formats, so I can edit in the future if necessary.

    What I want:

My company name is - Aslan Media (www.aslanmedia.co.uk) and the logo is here. Also, I don't expect you to keep the same backgrounds of the logos that are in the current PSD files, as they probably wouldn't look so good on the business card.

The personal details I want included are my name (and next to it the title Director), email address and mobile number.

At the bottom of the card in small text I'd like the following "ASLAN MEDIA and FreebieGrab are owned and operated by Aslan Media Limited. Company number 123456"

The business card is to be double sided, but for the second side, all I want is the following logo centred on the page, in a colour you think is appropriate, and then under it the website www.freebiegrab.com

I don't have any specific requirements on the colour scheme or design style, but it should obviously look clean and professional, other than that, I'm open to all ideas.

I'll post feedback where relevant to designs posted too. Good luck everyone! :)

    ShyamT,
You're going to need to supply a more high-quality version of that logo. The main logo itself is rasterized and far too small to be in a 300dpi image for print.

Sorry - I was going to start on this contest but I can't proceed with such a small image sample.

I will ask my designer to send me a higher quality version, but, surely the the image in the business card will be smaller than the size in the PSD files, so there shouldn't be an issue in quality? Excuse me if I'm wrong, I don't really understand much about the designing process..

    Thanks :)

The image you posted may look large on the web, but when you swap that over to print size.... here, let me upload an example of what I mean.

Below is a link to an image that is 300dpi, 3.75in x 2.25in - the exact proportions for a business card for printing. Take a look at the differences.

Fair enough, I'll upload the higher quality ones as soon as I can get hold of them.

Also just to note, I don't need the same background colours on the actual business card that are in the logo files.

    Sorry about this!

It's all good :). Once you get that higher quality design, please post it and I'll take a shot at it.

Make sure to tell your designer to give you a copy of the logo at 3.75in x 2.25in 300dpi minimum so that there is no quality loss. Also, ask your designer to be sure not to rasterize any of the layers.

Thanks for your attempt, but neither side looks professional enoguh for me at the moment, and also I don't particularly like the colours. I know you've used the same backgrounds as the original files contained, but there is no need to do this, as I don't think those colours would look great printed. Also both sides should have a similar style, as they are going to be the same card.

    Hi there -

I'm a bit confused, so many of you have done the second side with the Aslan Media logo, the same one that is meant to be on the front side, when the logo I actually posted is the FREEBIEGRAB logo?

Also, I want to reiterate that I don't need the cards to be the same colour as the logo backgrounds, in fact, I'd rather you experimented with colours instead.

At the moment my favourite by far is podmatrix's design, but i'd like you to take the above into account and give it another go please?

    Thank you everyone.

PS. Please don't wait for the hi-res designs, and give it ago without for now.
