$25 Banner Ad Competition

I’m looking to have a banner Ad created for www.Oilprice.com

1st prize is: $25 paid via Paypal
Competition end: Monday 21st September 18:00 GMT

There will be a winner whether i get what i want or not. I always pay.

The banner will be replacing the one in the top centre of the screen which says:
Free Charts and Financial data for your Website.
The size must stay the same, and it must be able to fit in at the top of the page by the logo and slogan.

The current one is dull and doesn’t stand out – the winning design MUST stand out, but also look very professional and clean, as the audience are finance professionals and traders – so no cartoony gimics please.
When I say stand out – I mean in a good way – not like a sore thumb 

Could you please use the data in the current design and I’d like to see a few with:

1) Free Commodity Charts, Streaming prices and Financial Data for your website.
Crude Oil, Gas, Gold, Silver & many others available in different designs. Use Our Free Data for your site.

2) Free Commodity Price charts & Quotes for your website: Oil, Gold, Copper, Silver, Gas, plus others
No cost and no catches – click here to get your site packed with reliable financial data.

At this stage I’m open to all ideas.
Detailed feedback will be given for all entries and the thread will be updated with tips and ideas on a regular basis.

It might be a good idea to look at some of the banners on other finance websites for inspiration.

hemp, thanks for your entry. Sadly it's not the sort of thing i'm after. I'm looking for something like the following. The first design is the best (but i'd like it lying down - Horizontal)

Hemp - i'm starting to like it - but don't like the blue - if you can look at the examples i provided as the colours in there stand out much more and look very clean and professional.
There's another little problem - your design is vertical and i was after Horizontal.

Rocketoutwithurlogoout - it's the right idea - but just too bright and almost offensive - could you tone it down a bit and look at maybe take some inspiration from the examples i posted.

Here’s some general feedback – Please don’t use the logo in the design – these adverts are for my own site – so it’s obvious where they are from.
I’d very much like the colours to be more professional looking like the examples shown.

Hemp – This is cleaner than the last entry – but it really isn’t right for my audience.

Rocketoutwithurlogoout – The bottom one is getting there – but please can you remove the logo.

Quidditas – it’s just a bit dull and difficult to read – I’m afraid it’s not what I’m after.

Please keep the entries coming.

 

Hey staff. is the 21st a final end date? or might you end it sooner. I just dont want to start an entry and then have you pick someone else's b4 i post.
