I run a news website where users create all of the content. I am running a contest in an effort to begin to populate the site. What I'm looking for is for people willing to register for the site, and write an article of 200 words or more. If you PM me, I will send you the site URL, and you should let me know your username at the site so that you can be properly credited for your work. Users can submit as many articles as they would like. One week from today I will select the best article and will reward the winner $25 via PayPal. If you have any questions feel free to get in touch with me! An aside.. I will soon be adding the ability for users to paste their own Google AdSense code on the site, so in addition to the contest, you will be able to make any advertising profit from your articles. This will be applied retroactively to any articles you have written prior to the change taking effect. $25 for 200 words isn't so bad!
I've received a few messages regarding the contest, so I'm going to try and clear up any confusion. 1) If you PM me, I will send you the URL of my website. 2) You will register for the site, and PM me the username you have chosen so I can give credit for your work 3) You must write at least one article of 200 words or more to be eligible to win the contest, but you may write as many articles as you want 4) Articles can be on ANYTHING. The topics on the site range from US News, World News, Politics, Technology, and more... so there is a lot of room for creativity. 5) Next Tuesday (4 May 2010) at 10:07 Eastern Standard Time I will decide which article I think is the best, and will reward the winner $25 via PayPal So far only one user has submitted articles, and there is only a few days left to go. As I mentioned in the first post, within the next day now I will be adding the ability for users to post their own ad code on the site so that you will earn 100% of the profit from any articles you write. Feel free to post any questions, or shoot me a message. I look forward to seeing a few more entries!
