$25 - 48 Hour - Logo/Banner contest for Tool Rating website

The website that will use the logo is:

Your logo will replace the top banner (The Tool Rating -Unbiased Reviews and the Web's Best Prices)

The title should: "TheToolRating.com" and the slogan: "Because Price Matters"

Tools on the site are predominantly: woodworking, home improvement, trade, automotive, DIY, and garden.

I am open to all ideas right now. Just be creative as you want. I will give feedback often.

The contest ends on Friday night around 9.00pm. I will then send the winner $25.

I Incorporate the background from your site, hope you like it!

 

Great start everyone. The site ranks tools and points users to the "top rated" tools and to the lowest prices they are being sold for on the internet. So keep that in mind. This logo should speak to the professionalism, and authority of this site.

-The logo should be below the title
-The text should be much more legible.


@arghya139- I like the way the slogan looks, but the title and gardener image are not the professional look I am going for.

@70k0t3x- I like the idea of the stars, but the whole thing is a little too "loud. "

@Influ- I like the look of it, but the font isnt readable enough. The wrench is good but not quite what I want. I am undecided on the reflection, it could be ok.

 

@elli_boy- I like way you incorporated the background. it looks pretty good. I don't really like the image on the left of the title but I think there could be better ones out there. Also, don't forget the ".com" and the slogan.

These entries are looking a lot better everyone! I am really impressed with the work being turned out here. Each one has some qualities that I like, but I am still looking for the perfect one...

@arghya139- This is still not the professional look I am going for. I don't like the "pictures for letters" much. The slogan is ok but still not quite readable enough (because it is hollow).

@elli_boy- Like the simplicity but the picture is still not right. The wrench looks weird just hanging off there.

@jtoms- This has really clean look too it that I like. I like the check but... it's kind of weird covering up the "A." You're on the right track though.

@vinpkl- This is good, I like the graph but not the line that connects the tops of the bar (maybe it would be better if it was trending up?). And the hammer and wrench image looks good, but not where it is with the graph. maybe get rid, maybe find a better place for it. And the slogan could be better. For the title I like the darker letters better than the green ones.

@universifier- I like the "..." of the slogan. Overall this looks ok, but I don't like the random stars (maybe make them relate to a rating system) or the imagery to the right of the title.

 

Another note:

Try and get the idea across that we are ranking tools against each other (an example would be of a standard 3,1,2 podium and maybe it would have different tools on top... just an idea.
