34.3% of my visitors today came from google searches using top keywords like "social bookmarking, advertising forums, freelancer sites, social bookmarks, freelance moneymaking, etc, etc".. It is 235 out of 685 unique visitors just today and the rest came from forums, entrecard, and other advertising in other blogs.. Do you think this is a good percentage?
That depends on what kind of marketing/targetting you were doing to attract traffic. If you've spent $10k on SEO and you're only getting 34% traffic, that's bad. If you haven't done much of anything to promote your search results in google, 34% is good
On one of my sites so far this month i have 8581 unique visitors and most of them come from google - Google 5157 - Google (Images) 896 - Yahoo 587 - Unknown search engines 354 - MSN 77 - AOL 34 - Ask Jeeves 25 - AltaVista 17 - Dogpile 6 - Rambler 5 not spending any money on advertising. the site is optimized to the max and that is the only reason why I am getting so many visitors from the search engines
My blog is in the 100 visitors a day range & it has been getting 80-90% of them from Google for months now.
I hit 2,900 Organic Visitors from Google yesterday for my site Network Liquidators. We usually get around 5,000 visitors a day overall.
For one of my site, I am getting 90% of traffic from google. And for another site, google gives me only 5% of traffic.
If your google count is low, you can probably stand to do some more SEO work then. Read the suggestions in the forum, they'll tell you how.
i think an organic search of 40% and below from google is a bad statistics... more more more optimization!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
OT: What does the post count have to do with someone's knowledge or opinion on something? Just because you have 200+ doesn't make you an expert on some things..
Yes, the domain registered on that date but I started late... That's not true... for those sites that ran adwords does not have that percentage. It depends on promotion type... if the site is stable and the owner does not run ads anymore, that would be applicable..
