I've noticed a drop in PPC too. Really sucks. I'll keep an eye on this thread to get a feel for better suggestions.

What kind of traffic do you have? -- if high enough (2,000+ uniques a day I think) consider tribulfusion.com...

I usually monetize with http://text-link-ads.com or sell advertising space myself. So I can get money every month without bother about the clicks.

I doubt if you will get anything more elsewhere, perhaps you may do so with YPn if you are based in the US, of course. If you have lots of traffic you may want to try CPM type advertising.

Entertainment sites are known as lowest paying one.
My average click in February is less than 3 cents, and I get some 30 $ for 1000+ clicks.
I would be so happy to have 6 cents average as you do :)

Since I already had 1 cent and even 0 cents for some clicks I kinda understand why Adsense is no longer what it used to. I am also contemplating using something else, but I am limited since I'm in a country with less "connections" so to say...

Exactly Almir, I am getting 3 cents with a large entertainment site.

The bad part is that i was getting 8+ cents last December (Arghhhh).

And I tried banners (6 different companies) and affiliates, and I can't get more
per click or the equivalent CPM.

I guess playing the content game with section targetting sounds good, if I don't murder my search rankings in the process...

On one of my accounts i was consistently getting eCPM of around $2.00-$3.00 ever since i started, but for the past one week google paying less then what it has been giving i.e eCPM of around $1.30-1.50. Its kind of weird if it continues.I planned contacting support about the issue but have't done so in the hope perhaps it will get back its pace.

Yes, I would assume most band fan sites dont have much promoting money, therefore they pay less to google er click. If you need more money, try finding a better category that sites pay higher for.

I have a theory that once somebody visits a site, maybe clicks on a few ads, that's the only time they do so. So you have to always be bringing in brand new visitors to the site, and that's not easy. For one thing, you have to have a subject that is searched on by thousands/millions of people everyday, and most of us don't have those kinds of sites.

To make some of you feel better, I made 15-CENTS last week on my personal sites/blogs! :( sheesh.
