22nd April PR update - benefit to anyone?

    I have just seen the following PR updates ;)

    5 -> 6

    0 -> 4

    0 -> 4

    0 -> 0 :|

    Generally all good then, I was expecting to see more weight on the co-op but ironically all of them seemed to decrease ;)

    Good to see a PR update finally anyway!

    My Co-op weight is unaffected still. As long as the API returns the old PRs we won;t be seeing any weight differences.

    Good point , I just noticed this myself.

    On the whole Im please with this update though, I had a new real clean XHTML strict site which has been potentially sandboxed for ages.

    Indexed pages all seems similar but with a general rise in backlinks and PR across the board I assume we should see a weight increase

    I'm glad to hear that since I actually dropped with an increase in PR. I was starting to think my API broke :D

    Not to confuse the matter but the scale seems to have changed again. A drop in PR may actually indicate no change.

    That would be quite easy to verify by checking the reported links (on all SE's). If same or up and PR down it has to be that (or the links were reduced in PR themselves / more links added to those pages linking to you etc.).

    But lets keep it about Co-op :)

    My coop weight went up on my base site - above the cap amount I was stuck at.

    Sorry to stray.....I actually just looked at the keyword tracker and realized by biggest site in the Coop was a 2. With it now being a 4 I can't wait to see the weight increase.

    I did show a weight increase, from TEENY to a little less teeny :) But hey, it's only one site with only 20 pages, so I didn't expect much, but it was still neat to see it go up :)

    I'm hoping this isn't a definate update.
    2 if my sites that were PR5 & PR4 have gone down to 0 :( . So I'm like wtf? This has happened before, but it usually stays at its current PR never dropping down to 0. If this does indeed happen that would be a lot of weight I lose :\. But one of my smaller sites went from 0 -> 3, but that definately wouldn't make up for weight lost from the PR4 & PR5.

    I have a new site with several PR8s pointing to it and it went to a 6.

    But, some of my older sites that generate the most traffic fell from 6s to 0s and 4s.

    I also have another new site with a homepage PR3 but several PR6s in the reciprocal directory!

    How do you get the server to recalculate your weight? Last time it validated was yesterday and that was before the PR update. I went form a PR 0 to a PR 4, I want to see my weight increase!

    Hmm, I can't seem to find this link. All I see in my account is at the top:

    Logout | Setup Instructions | Edit Account Settings

    Ads appear to be live on your site (as of 2005-04-21).

    Any questions? Please read the TOS, the FAQ, or visit the forum.

    Then I have the Create New Ad window and on the right, My site information and weight.

    And at the bottom is My Pool of Adertisements window which has an "Update" button beneath "Weight" is that what you are talking about? I click it and my weight stays the same, and it still says last validated is yesterday.
