>I calculated the ROI as 3114%. Anyone else get the same figure? Incredibly more, but let me tell you that this was a nice sale, especially so quickly. Maybe the domain had traffic, or the old owner forgot to renew.
Nice job on the quick profit! I also have the same question someone else asked. On your screen shot it does not show the money in the withdraw column, does this take a couple of days to show up or how do you get the money?
1) Login with your acct 2) Select your domain name 3) Click 'List Domain For Sale' from left panel GdL!
Your earnings will be available for withdrawal only after 10 days. Please note that the transfers/ transfer requests are non-reversible. Give it ten days and it should be withdrawable. I honestly forget that they had a marketplace. I'm trying to sell a few of mine there now.
The rules of the namecheap marketplace. 1. Your whoisguard (if the domain has one) goes with the sale. 2. Your domain is automatically pushed. 3. Your funds can be withdrawn from namecheap to your paypal or bank account. 4. Only Domains registered at namecheap can use the marketplace. 5. Once listed, you CANNOT remove it until time is over, and the domain is locked at their nameservers. 6. Commission charges are also at namecheap, lower than sedo. Rob
I bought 20 domains on ebay for $120 last year and sold them as a package this year for $900. I'm sitting here now watching the new plasma they paid for. The best thing about it is it shut the wife up. "What are you wasting your money on that crap for? Blah blah blah!" "Shut up dear, I can't hear the plasma. Bwa ha ha ha ha ha!"
Yeah, great to hear stories like that. It reminds me of the time I put a free script on a $8 domain and sold it for $250.
Thats awesome pal.. You gotta always remember its supply and demand. A random guy might look at that domain and be like..sheeesh.. not worth it.. but than again, the domain comes across a guy who think he can put it to good use, why not. If I saw a domain for ex. $300 and knew that with this name in the long run I can make more than the money I paid for it. It's worth it. Btw, it's actually a very brandable domain name. The only down fall of it is that it's a .org and not a .com. But, still very brandable. I buy all my domains from NameCheap, I might give it a shot with a few domains just laying around.. I'll post results if anything. Cheers m8 and good job on the sale Edit: Just checked it out, the max amount you can ask for any domain you have is $250. Kinda sucks when you have a domain you want to sell for no less than $500.. :|
