Contest 22$ For Pretzel Logo Contest - Aiming To End It In 72hrs

Hello again talented people.

I have a friend who doesn't believe logos help and therefore she never bothered to have one done. So I'm trying to change her mind. She has a small pretzel shop. Because I don't know her tastes as far as design goes please try and do whatever you think is suitable for a pretzel shop.

Requirements:

Name: Covrigărie La Prăvălie (these can be split into two separate names Covrigarie being one which means pretzel factory and the other name being La Pravalie which is kind of the location). Please note: Covrigărie is the main word and La Prăvălie are less important. So for example if you stack the words on top of each other and the pretzel in between them then Covrigărie should stand out a little more. (Although not a requirement it is appreciated if you can use the romanian character with that little symbol on top of the letters a to look similar to this ă - again this is not a requirement)

Symbols: Please use a pretzel as a symbol. Her pretzels look like in the image below:


Colours: use whatever colour you think are suitable

Please only use original artwork (please do not copy anyone's pretzel logo).

Payment is $22 via paypal only

Any questions please feel free to ask. I am hoping to end this in 72 hours or less.

In order to avoid any copied symbols of a pretzel please note I will not accept any PM entries.

Looking good Agent-x and thanks for the entry. I just realised I should have indicated in the first post that Covrigarie is the more important word and La Pravalie is less important. Nevertheless a very pleasant logo.

EDIT: Although I like very simple and clean logos and yours is just that, I feel that for a pretzel shop we need more colour and a more "happier" logo somehow. Please don't misunderstand me, I really like your logo but perhaps for a pretzel shop we need more colour somehow and a slightly "busier" logo (for example place the logo in the middle, words on top of each other and give the whole thing a background).

Agent: thanks for the new ones. I sometimes feel hesitant to give feedback because the designers do revisions and yet they don't necessarily win and then they feel they've wasted their time. So please note me giving feedback doesn't necessarily mean you would win. I like the new entries. The only "problems" I see with them is the text is hard to read. I would use the text on top and below the pretzel so it's easier to read and perhaps even "bend" the text or use it as a semi circle to sort of wrap around the pretzel. But one again great work and especially I appreciate you did your own pretzels.

Once again great work. But like I said, the position of the text makes the text hard to read. Other than that both look great.

WOW!!, this competition is really heating up. Thanks for the designs guys:

luckidesign: you make me feel ashamed That is because even though this is for a romanian friend only after you posted your entry I realised I should have used the romanian character ă for the letters a. I now went back and edited my post asking the designers if they can use ă instead of the normal a in the design (this is not a requirement though). And now for the feedback: sorry but I think your logo is a little messy. You are using too many different colours that don't seem to match and the positioning of the text seems to be unbalanced.

Agent-x: thanks again. They both look better, they are certainly improved and heading in the right direction. I'm not asking you to do this change but I still think that La is positioned wrong. La should also be in front of the Prăvălie and just like Prăvălie it should wrap around the pretzel.

ovidiu12: I really like it. It is a very stylish and pleasant logo. The decision is not mine and I will have to ask my friend but in the meantime I am just providing feedback as I see it. I like everything about it. The one thing I was looking forward to in your entry was actually the pretzel. That is because in that last competition of mine although it wasn't suitable in that contest I still liked the outline (not sure if this is the proper word) that you did for the bodybuilder. It looked great. So more than anything i was looking forward to see what kind of an "outline" ovidiu12 would use for the pretzel. Now don't get me wrong, I really, really like your logo but I was hoping to see a better pretzel in your entry. However, a better more stylish pretzel in your logo may ruin the design by making the logo appear too busy. The way it is now it looks very good and "balanced". I've been calling Australia home for more than 20 years but originally yes, I am from Romania. And only last year I found out that one of my high school buddies is actually a famous romanian singer (Tudor Chirila). All my friends were like how come you didn't know about Chirila. Well....I've been living in Australia for more than 20 years.

Animman: I like it. It looks great and it gets the message across without using a pretzel. Great concept, great logo. Very well executed. And of course I feel embarassed again because you used the correct romanian characters without me asking you to. If there was one thing I would suggest (please don't think I'm asking for changes-I will do that once I choose the finalists) is perhaps place the whole logo on some type of an oval background and have like a string on top of it as if the whole logo is hanging of something (similar to a sign that is hanging on a door). But even as it is now it looks great.

ighy: thank you for the entry. It is a pleasant logo. I would work with you to develop it if I hired you to do this project for me. Unfortunately for you this time I believe there are other entries better than yours. Otherwise I am sure with a few changes I would have ended up buying your logo.
