I think the clue here is "expensive item"

Yeah, If I could get more people buying audio equipment ;) every day, I'd be pulling in at least, 1k a month.

$213, not bad. Just keep up what ever it is you are doing or did do. If you used BANS on an already established site with tons of traffic, you cheated :)

actually it seems like what is almost more important than the price of the item, is the status of the seller.

what i mean by that is, a high volume power seller is paying almost nothing for his/her listings. and 60% of almost nothing is... well, you get the picture.

a new seller is still getting jacked by ebay's incredibly high (thanks ebay ;) ) fees, and 60% of those high fees goes to the affiliate (if your in the 60% bracket)

also helps to target items listed with all the extras.

i don't think you can do this with BANS, but i could be wrong, i have never used it. i opted to go to the library and pick up some incredibly heavy books from o'reilly instead of spending $100 bucks on their script.

pretty much why I did my own as well.

Man, I learn something new every day, now I have to implement a feature that looks for all those extras.

I launched my site on 2/3/08 and as of right now, my balance is $449. I started adsense on 2/17/08 for the same site and my balance there is $32. Not a bad start for the first month. I sure hope this trend only goes upward. Anyhow, at first I was so surprised at the total number of sales (afterall, it's a niche product). Later, when I discovered mycjreport.com (great site by the way), it actually breaks down all the activity and lets you know exactly what sold. I was disappointed at first so see that the 84+ sales I had didn't all relate to my niche product, but only a handful. The remaining were various types of products, most unrelated to my niche. Anyhow, I guess it really doesn't matter at the end of the day as long as the sales keep generating.

Since the start of my site, I've had only 3 days with $0 commissions. I'm kind of in shock. I've been experimenting with websites for years as a hobby and this one site generates so much in its first month.

Here's the answer to your next question: I use various blogs, link exchange programs, some google adwords (started this after I had $200 in commission; I figured I can spend a portion of my profits) and both free and paid directories.

This is VERY bad idea... submit your reports and whoever owns that site will take a look and steal your niches.

I've got better things to do than look at your CJ report.

None of the data is stored anyway - the report is deleted as soon as the results page has finished loading.
