You guys gotta check this out.. it's 8 minutes long and is AWESOME. http://oak.psych.gatech.edu/~epic/ make sure you're speakers are on... (and yes, it definitely relates to GOOGLE)
What a bunch of crap, I shut it off. If that is how stupid humans will be, then we deserve what happens. It won't happen because that would mean trusting unknown sources that can't be called to the mat for integrety. Humans are not that easy. We want sources. We have a fundemental need to know the whole story, not just be told a story and take it for face vaule. ie.( CBS and Dan Rather) What a wasteful piece of propaganda. Oh yeah and then there's the premise that google is for profit, pay to play. Society as a whole will seek out organic search results, invent them and implement them if they go away. I hate propaganda that paints all humans as stupid.
It's not funny. LOL. Eight minutes is a long time to wait for a punch line. I rejected in the spirt that if it were serious, it could see that humans won't be interested and it will fail. Now back to our regularly scheduled program. Life as we know it.
Don't put words in my mouth. I said I shut it off as propaganda, not fact. There are stupid people that see that stuff and believe it, joke or not. I have no need to be entertained that way. You know what I find funny? That link to the web site that screams "you are an idiot"! Now that one is funny!
noppid, I know what you mean. Stupid people will see what they want. Hmmm, isn't that what we've got today, stupid people (or rather simply people who don't know any better) being led around by the noses by big business, being persuaded to believe that what they want are the products that those businesses have - and once having those products they find they're locked in. There is a moral to the story - People get your heads out of your ASSES (lord, I'm even starting to type like an American) and start thinking for yourselves. If you let big business do your thinking for you then you will get shafted.
Oh I get it alright, my problem is that I can't think of a way to beat them. Mankind are basically sheep, there are a few that go against the flow but not many. My personal choice might often be against the flow, but that won't changed much in the long run - unless I can come up with some astounding big idea (hmmm, but then I'd become the big business) Google aren't yet big enough that they can dominate the online world - there's still too much of the 'online world' still to be discovered - nor do I personally believe that anyone company can actually domainate something so vast (I could be wrong though).
