most of this 10 percent gathered for money he spread, such economic fail could consider them to think more. just look at your election, economy can change many votes. in Iran he doesn't talk about Holocaust and Jews and 9/11 conspiracy much, these are useful for Arabs and Muslims in the region for obtain more fans between them. in Iran his speeches are mostly patriotic! not Islamic or anti-Jews. he always try to rise nation pride and tell Iranian must have atomic power and knowledge for peaceful purposes that western countries dislike such knowledge for us. Recently he showed Cyrus cylinder that brewed it from British Museum and even boast of "Cyrus the great" that Iranian most love. his flag and symbols is Iran flag.
first of all why he never interview with Iranian independent Journalist? he just talk to our tv that belongs to our regimen. why police jailed a lot of opponent heads the day before election without any charge and they are still in prison?
I think those would be good questions to ask in publicized interview. Not because Ahmadinejad would have a sincere, heartfelt answer that would make it all seem right, but simply that it raises public awareness. Even if you're a political activist, journalist, human rights activist, I think somehow it would at least be some consolation to know you are not forgotten. On the other hand, the catch 22, if one was an independent journalist in Iran asking these difficult questions of Ahmadinejad, they may end up in the same place. It would have been interesting if Christiane Amanpour would have asked these as well. Babak, you might like this. I don't know anything about space storms, was Googling, and found this cool picture: It's an aurora over Norway in 2008, and photo was in this National Geographic article about solar storms. I thought it was incredible.
yeah for Amanpour, American and international demands is important but for Iranian internal affairs are. many Iranian journalists are in jail as well. I'm a guy who tries to improve English ability and exchange ideas and learn more about other people and cultures, that's all. personaly I don't like a painful regim change in my country and scare of war and economic crisis as well. yeah, incredible picture. if we see such pictures every morning on 2013 could help us bear problems of this year! lol thanks Rebeca for sharing it.
LOL. I know, I think they're beautiful. Look, I found some in the US... - Dover, Oklahoma, USA/Space Weather - Eau Claire, WI, USA/Space Weather - Spokane, Washington, USA/Space Weather
As one of our dead presidents said... Those who make peaceful revolution impossible will make violent revolution inevitable. -- John F. Kennedy
you and J.F Kennedy are right but I don't like die early same as J.F.K! it's not easy at all. dissorder can effect on aminities and facilities as Iraqi people suffered. guess you know meaning of electricity and water in piplines. nice photos Rebecca, looks like doomsday, even can see Jesus in third one!
Ha Ha, you're so funny. The man in the photo is the photographer in Washington that actually took the picture. It was an incredible scene, and I think he was just feeling the experience. He (Paul Wickland - 2nd photo down) said, "This was an amazing display with dancing pillars that popped up in a line from east to west about 1/4 second apart. Then about 1/2 the sky filled with color. Small bands of passing clouds added to the strangeness. I've photographed dozens of auroras and never seen anything quite like this one before. "
yeah great tographer and I think America is so beautiful. seems you are tographer too. do you share your photos in the net? I never saw any aurora in my life maybe because don't wake up early.
Thanks, Babak. No, unfortunately, I'm not a great photographer. I wish. At this point, my main use of images on the net, is simply adding ones that are complimentary to articles that I write. For this, I'll usually grab them on MorgueFile.com because they're free for commercial use. Sometimes, I can't always find what I need though, and do plan on taking more pictures. For example, I have a blog about dogs, and have been wanting to write an article tutorial on how to make a hat for your dog. Without pictures, the article wouldn't be nearly as good. So, a few days ago, I took my camera out of storage - and, as soon as I get the time... Edit: I just wanted to add this video about solar storms...
maybe I haven't this chance to see auras but guess suncet and sunrise is beautiful when you are out of the city. who knows maybe some day wisit Northic. Rebecca yeah you right an article withough photos hasn't eanoght attraction.
Right, especially an instructional article that explains how to make something. Sometimes pictures are much easier to understand. Babak, I'm not sure if you can see YouTube videos. This one is kind of related to this thread, but it's a National Geographic video filming the Northern Lights of Norway. I think it's an amazing sight:
I'm unconcerned. Even if it goes down it won't be down for a few years tops, and given the exponential evolution of technology and science as it stands, I doubt it'll even be that. We could all use a return to simpler times for a bit anyway, a break away from the hectic phone pandering and monitor monitoring.
I guess for short time it will be good but think about long term. Rebecca this is nearly five days that I couldn't pass trough our internet filter, no youtube, no facebook and a lot of other sites. as you see recently more come to digitalpoint! lol just kidding hope find a new anti-filter program and site to pass trough.
Without YouTube or Facebook, DP is the only game in town. You'll have to visit us often, nowhere else to go! LOL.
lol, Rebecca! it's my honor to talk to you guys, I learned a lot in DP. I guess DP wasn't in their filter list because it hasn't Persian service.
Babak, it's always a pleasure talking to you. I've been lazy today, and browsing the Internet. There are two strange websites I found, that somewhat reminded me of this thread. I'm in no way associated with either one of them, but thought they were kind of funny... Has The World Ended Has The Large Hadron Collider Destroyed The World Yet Anyway, I suppose I better get busy with some work. Talk to you later.
