I think for me is Web 2.o, Back links, and the Social Media Networking. As we all know that link building is really needed to drive traffic to your sites. And, nowadays, we all know that all kinds or types of individuals uses the SMN in expressing their feelings about what happened in a certain situation. Particularly, to advertise a certain product whom they think they can benefit.

I think the video marketing is the latest trend in the SEO as nowadays webmaster make use of this technique to target the more visitors. As webmasters create the video of their website or the products and submit it to the different site as it helps to get the more visitors for the website.

Guest posting is in trend nowadays. It helps both the parties. By guest blogging we can easily get essential backlinks, which helps in, generate traffic and good ranking.

 

I hear that backlinks are pretty important... lol

 

Best I can tell, the link building still reigns, except, unless you are a business. In which case I can't share online what is important. And its not quite what I'd call SEO.

But there has been a big change, for which I researched and watched related sites. And links won't cut it for these businesses.

I also think that content is a big part than most site owners acknowledge but don't lift much of a finger to build. Most people love what they think is an easy way. Just "SEO-it" or pay their way to the top.

 

Twitter,facebook and all social networking sites are in these days to optimize your web page

 

In my experience twitter doesn't give any backlinks for our websites but facebook provides us with a backlink as it is shown in my webmasters account.

 

The latest trend in SEO is SMO/ SMM

 

I think it's also social media, as Google is going to release its own social media service in 2011 to compete with Facebook.
