Frankly, I don't use any Anti Viruses.. i think they are the real cause of a virus, plus the anti virus company has access to all your data and everything.

There is no real BEST Antivirus program. It depends on the features and no antivirus is perfect. Some are good when it comes to realtime protection, while some others might be good in detection rates. It's about securing your PC in the most efficient way and not having the best antivirus. The simple Microsoft Security Essentials + Malwarebytes PRO + A little intuition should keep your PC clean for atleast 6-7 years.

I'm using Kaspersky for years now, and i'm super satisfied with it. It's THE BEST antivirus software. It can slow your system a lot at times, but it's really worth it.

I wonder, for those who are using the free editions of any antivirus, how many pc problems did you already have?

I've had Norton Anti-virus for the duration of my computer's life (3 years on Win7), and I never had any technical problem. My PC has been on the same state since I bought it, never had a reformat, never a slow down, never a headache.
Tried AVG and Avira at work on our company workstations, and I had to reformat some PCs since these antiviruses couldn't even stop a damn trojan.

I wouldn't agree with that. It is better to have at least have basic virus protection if you are not interested in a complete internet security package.

    Hello,

I am using Advanced System Protector, which is an antivirus used to Remove Security shield, live security platinum, spyware, malware infections. It also provides protection shields against malware threats. It is extremely light on system resources, which makes it better then any other antivirus.

I think Avast antivirus is one of the best antivirus software than anyother. It removes virus from computer and keep clean your system. I am using this software from last six months and never see a single virus in my computer.
