If you don't use Microsoft products, you will never have to fear of virus.

IMO, Linux is a much better choice. You should give it a try. I used FreeBSD, Suse, Fedora, Red Hat, Ubuntu before. I recommend Ubuntu.

If you are a programmer and like using CLI you won't be disappointed.

THe best anti virus and anti spyware is McAfee. biggiest anti virus company in the world.
if you notice a lot of site has McAfee verified on their sites. does your anti viruses had that?
McAfee did eliminate the Olympics virus last year. they does the updating for that virus and other anti virus company bought the right and product on McAfee. Im not telling you to believe and shift its on your decision.

ESET Nod32 for the win. Light on the os; simple to control; effcience with files and boot master and emails. all features needed to give you complete protection. I've been using it for 2 of my computers for 2 months now and no complaint.

I use a official copy of Norton 360 and trust me, its the best anti-virus I have ever seen.

And before that, I was using the free version of AVG anti-virus.

have a little confuse here, almost people say that they AV are best.
i'm agree that Nod, kaspersky, avg is good AV but IMHO norton is the oldest AV company that exist until this day. just my opinion.

ps: is any posibility that virus in wild came from AV company it self?
