2008 Stock Market Predictions - Technology Companies Will Prosper?

I think its a good solid company for this jumpy market. I would keep it hit until it hits 37, then put a stop to sell on 37 when it goes past it. I think there will be more buyers, and the people with shares will hold.

Looks like that wasn't enough to impress investors. Microsoft is slowly degrading and falling apart. I'd much rather invest in Google right now.

 

Yea, Selling at the open on friday would have been the start thing. I really thought it would rally down then back up. Instead it just stayed down and microsoft got hit hard. I may take my losses and get out as the whole stock market is jumpy.

Google no, Apple no. Oracle yes

 

Oracle didn't even get near hurt as being a major tech stock, look at google and apple right now. Oracle still holds up strong, good solid company. When the market does finally go back up Oracle will excel!

I think this year I'm going to go with my gut. So far it has paid off and I'm willing to lose and pay the price if thats what it takes!

 

I haven't been investing in the Australian market. But i am in the US market.

I think it might be okay for a few months. Up and down.

Microsoft went down to where it just was! For the people who sold it at the open were lucky. Wait for it to bounce up and I would recommending selling it at 35-36

If it does reach that high it will fall as the market is in a bearish and tech stocks are hurting (apple, google etc.)
If you plan to long it, thats still good as good earnings keep going for microsoft.

Sirius Satellite Radio Inc. (SIRI)

The merge with XM was doubtful a few weeks back, now the fed might give in and let the merge happen! (If it does it will happen within the next 2 months)
The expected price after the merge is around $6 as what the street expects
Its 50 cents off there 52 Low. Watch this stock

Anyone want to try and predict what the big GOOG reports tomorrow? YHOO recently failed to impress with their earnings report. But, I've got a feeling GOOG is going to blow the mind of investors tomorrow with an unbelievable quarter.

 

I don't think the stock will do much of anything, look at MSFT, reported good numbers and their stock dropped, so I would expect nothing for good numbers and a drop for mediocre or bad one's.

 

No no no, google themselves said it wasen't that impressive.

Don't buy google before there earnings call.

 

Yeah goog down almost 9% in after hours trading.
