I was bullish for about 15 minutes then I noticed every talking head dolt on CNBC were calling bottoms and I quickly regained my footing.

I'm normally quite bullish. Being so bearish for so long it seems is starting to get to me, but I'm a trooper I'll pull through it. ;)

The stock market seems to be holding up quite well, if it can sustain for a while, I guess the overall investors' sentiments may improve. There won't be a Bear after all.

The problem was fundamentals, it will remain fundamentals.

All of the positive sentiment in the world cannot fix the massive inflation we have coming, and then you will (unfortunately) see people very nervous due to rising prices.

The DJ has not and will not be an indicator of a serious economic scenario. Watch the dollar.

Agree on that, but the stock market sentiments will at least help prevent any meltdowns that may occur if any banks failed.

The "solutions" that Bernanke had given so far is temporary in nature. It did not help in altering the fundamentals of the economy. What it did was only shore up the confidence so as to buy time to rescue the banks from the decades of excesses.

Bernanke's next steps will determine how bad and how long the recession will be. If he uses the borrowed times to do an orderly liquidation of those banks and financial institutions that could not make it, I guess the recession will be a short one, maybe just a technical recession. But if he continued to pump in money into the bubble, I am afraid 2008 will turn out to be a nasty year and maybe 2009 too.

Shazz, SIRI and XMSR both have horrid financial statements. I actually wasted some time today looking over them today because I was bored. Their balance sheets in particular are pretty bad. Combining them won't make it any better. They are too far behind the whole music in the car thing. Some blame can be placed on the government, but I don't see any great things coming from these companies any time soon. :/

I feel these bulls will get their balls chopped off by a swift "swoosh" of Mother Market's machete effectively making them "steers".
