Most White Sox fans don't believe in the Black Sox curse. Cub fans definitely believe in the GOAT though!
I believe in the goat too, after watching the Marlins come back from a 3 games to 1 deficit. Are the Cards going to do the same thing to the Astros this year?
$4,000 for a $180 ticket? What a joke! I'm sure all of the real Sox fans will be at the games! http://www.stubhub.com/?event_id=198374
I was being sarcastic. Most White Sox fan cannot afford a ticket at those prices. I would really like to know how these "ticket brokers" get 100's of tickets. WHAT A SCAM!
I think they just list whatever they want and then hope to fill the orders with people trying to sell their tickets later. A short term $180 investment to turn it into ~$4000 is pretty good, White Sox fan or not. Either that or they're in bed with the teams.
Funny article about one of the White Sox' former owner, Bill Veeck. http://www.nytimes.com/2005/10/20/sports/baseball/20veeck.html
I just voted for the Red Socks, because I felt bad they didn't have any votes. I don't really think they will win it especially now that the world series has already started and they're not in it, but you never know.
I would of sat through the cold/rain for that one too - great game - one of the best I've seen all year. Bears win, Sox in the World Series....what the heck has come over Chicago?
I was lucky; we were actually under the second level, shielded from the rain. I woke up this monring and had to make sure I wasn't in some strange dream land.
I got lucky at the Bears game - I had a beer shield that kept me dry (at least in my mind) until I got home and started to sober up
HA HA HA! That's really funny! I have my alarm clock set to ESPN radio and DITKA was on when my alarm went off this morning.
I can't believe what an ordeal this roof issue has become in Houston. Hello, this is BASEBALL people...it's an outdoor game!
