I'll setup a new website for a certain keyword, Keyword.com domain is available for $2000, when we talk about the best for SEO, is keyword.com realy worth this price? while .net, .org and .info domains are available in the usual price $9/year.
as i always believe, its not the domain name that determines the success of a website but at the same time, u must be comfortable with the name to have to face it every single day and mention it all the time So only u can answer that question. Personally, i wld not fork out so much for a domain unless u r very confident of using it for an online EMPIRE
I also agree, I don't believe having the keyword.com over keyword.net would rank you any higher on a site with the same stats and keywords.
I agree, 2k is too much for a domain in this case, but u know the keyword better. Is this just an internet business or offline business as well ? If offline business as well, keyword.com maybe a good long term investment.
Yeah that is way too expensive. But like honey mentioned in the long run it could be a good investment.
hıım, it is a hard question but it is a good domain.Only you can know the worth. If i were you, i would not. ps: only keyword.us is avaible for register. The other general tld's are registered.
if it is worth it to you then go ahead...Kevin Rose bought the digg.com url for $1,000. dig.com is owned by walt disney.....it turned out to be good for him..
So if my keyword is microsoft you all agree that microsoft.com isn't worth my $2000??? Common guys think deeper.
As I see it, you have few point of views: Lets say you have a type-in traffic that will convert within 4-6 months, regardless the SEO/SEM that you will do - than it worth it. On the other hand, if you buy this domain and it wont bring any type-in traffic/not enough to cover the cost in a relatively short period, then it's not worth it: You might as well buy a McKeyword.com for 4.95$ and use the rest for registering in directories/sem etc., that most likely will bring you an ROI faster. there is another small thing - Branding. take that also into consideration: maybe on the long term, it is better to pay now the 2K and to be sort of prestigious in the field. gLuck!
That domain name can be useful depending on what sort of SEO you do with it and the visitors you are expecting. If you are just trying to rank high with "keyword" related keyword in the G SERP, I think $2,000 sounds a little high. But again, it really is depending on what exactly your keyword is and what sort of people you are expecting to visit to your site.
Grab .net, .org, .info, .biz, and SEO .net. Chances are if .com owner is trying to sell it, then he doesn't plan on running it all out, and you can build better SEO than him. Spend $2000 buying links, and guarantee yourself the #1 spot!
If it were me, I would ask myself how much I could sell the domain for after if things don't work out? If you are the only buyer, it is probably a bad buy. If there would be a market for it, then it could be a good buy. I might counter offer and see what you can get it for. Problem is, if you go ahead and develop the .net or whatever, and your site is successful, your purchase price for the .com just went through the roof.
well domain is a good investment, mayb u can sell it for higher tommorrow. And i blive content and SEO are way more importnant than keyword in domain though it is a factor as well
If it's popular keyword in the name of the dot com, it might worth it. If you have the right keyword that goes along with your site content, it's basically 50% work done in SEO point of view in achieving good SERP. However I would rather spend all those 2K building backlinks & traffics.
Depends on the keyword to know if it's a good investment. If the .net, .org and .info are still available, then it kinda tells me the .com isn't worth that much.
i would buy keyword.net Take that extra 2 grands that u have there and put it in good use: 1. i would take 1k and invest it in stocks - google/yahoo/microsoft stocks 2. the rest of the $$ i would pay some1 to build me a 'off the hook' site, that contains good content and so forth... Good luck!
If you feel that the price is high you may consider keywordanotherkeyword.com , but if you think that it'll worth on total and will be easy to brand , I would buy the domain.
