I have at least $2000.00 but possibly as much as $5000.00 a month to spend on SEO optimization in a fairly competitive broad category. The site right now has PR5 and about 1500 BL's according to google's new tool The site has been around for about 5 years and is fairly well establish, with easy to crawl and mostly accessible and validate website. What would be the most efficient use of my money?
Check out this site. http://www.shapeable.com/search-engine-optimization.html The managed outsource packages are your best bet. Cheers
You should work on expanding the website, add more content / sections, and add something which can bring users regularly back to your site. Don't spend your money on SEO campaigns where theyll optimize and tweak just a few Titles and Meta Tags of your site and give it back to you. You should maybe hire someone who has been working on improving websites, and get some content writers to write content for your site. Good content with the right SEO changes can give a boost to the traffic your site is getting.
Yeah, I agree with rosie, also depending what your niche & visitors per day, try an host a significant competition thats not too hard, this will gain you a good amount of backlinks for free, aswell as traffic (aswell as a seo plan)
We are always trying to expand content, it is a ecommerce site so we are always trying to find creative ways to increase content ( testimonials, press releases, blog, ect ) so while those methods certainly help build a basic zone for the site. I'm really interested hosting a contest, do you have an example of one that someone else ran well or some suggestions about how to go about it? Thanks for the feedback, it is very much appreciated.
I agree that you should just hire someone who really knows what they are doing but watch out for those who claim they can get the job done for a few $100. You do not have to tell us the site, but can you tell what the main keyword is you are targeting? By seeing that I may be able to give you a good idea of what the cost may be in order to push your site to the top.
Maybe I dont understand as well as eveyone else. Areyou simply wanting to pay someone to do the work or are you asking what YOU can do with the money? It just does not sound like you were wanting to hire an SEO so I wanted to make sure. If it were me, I would spend it on content (there are lots of people writing content out therem PM if you would like me to send you details on someone I just used and was 110% impressed with.) Then, I would spend some money in the buy/sell links section of this forum.
I've already employeed a few DP members to write content. I'm more asking what the best way to spend the money is as oppose to who I should hire. Of course sometimes spending money requires hiring.
DP is not the place to ask for how to use $5000 a month, between the good advises you will get to much nonsense talk. Ask here: www.highrankings.com/forum That forum is very different from DP.
couldnt agree more. people are just going to push all there services onto you vs. a unpromoted answer. also might try posting this on webmasterworld. that would be the best place to post something like this.
what are you talking about? that forum is 100% about sending business to the mods and its creator, go on there and say a bad word about any of them and see what happens
Build a bunch of new content and then buy a bunch of links from some place like linkworth that what most SEOs are going to do anyway
It does'nt matter which forum you use, you are likely to get the same answers from all of them. It is easy to say something in these forums, only to find out that the person or persons you end up going with are frauds or really have no idea of what they are doing.
Yes.. I have plenty of experience with frauds..I DP is a great forum, and continue to plan on sending business to it's members.
So what ? The point is that they have another way of discussing things there that everyone should know about. I myself don`t use the place much anymore, but I know about the possibilities and it makes me better in SEO. I did not recommend buying anything there did I ? On DP, the chance of getting ripped of by a lousy SEO it somehow big. There are very skilled SEO`s here of course, but you do not know if they are good or not.
Honestly you should really keep the amount for your budget private. I know a lot of people in this business and they always want to know how much you have to spend. Some people do it because they want all of your money others do it to find out how big your total acount could be worth. Your best bet is to sit down with someone that knows what they are doing and develop a program based off the keywords you want to target, not the amount you can spend per month.
well have you consider what you can do with $5,000/mo without SEO? The problem of SEO is that it takes so much time to see a result. Think of ROI and more effective way to promote your site. PPC may be the quickest to get a result. If you can spend so much, I won't never consider SEO. SEO is not absolute method for advertising and marketing either. Having said that, if you want to SEO with $5,000/mo, I would focus on buying text links from related websites with high PR. This really is the ultimate way to boost your ranking at SERPs.
Well i do plenty of other stuff... the SEO would just be an additional form of advertising. Could I spend it on PPC yes... would it help me long term or give me the same results... as top 5 rankings on google for some of my key terms.. probably not. Thanks for your opinion cools
