I think the main problem in my design was balance and proportion. I tried to better it and also made other changes.

Oops! Sorry for the footer alignment error, it's little bit to the right. It will be centered when you want to see changes in this.

 

@krisdude: I didn't even notice the footer, adn that's a big problem on it's own. Especially if you are going to put the social bookmarks there.

I also want it to be ligher then yours is. I think i've mentioned this somewhere.

Hmm.. it looks a bit as though you looked at a template and decided to design it following that template. I only say that because I've seen a design that like that before.

Plus, even if it's not a template based design, it's no where near flashy enough and nor does it have that "WOW" feel to it. It's quite boring actually.

First of all, I would like to say this: Mods, I am making a double post only so that the contestants see this post and pay attention to it, since many seem to just skip reading the posts, and this is an important one.

I do not want to offend anybody with my feedback.
This is my opinion on your site. It is not the word of god, just my opinion, so please don't get offended.

Don't be afraid to go outside the box.
There is nothing wrong with that. It creates amazing designs sometimes, and I hope that the contestans in my contests always go outside the box and make something I have never seen before. Someone suggested I go buy a template instead. The reason I didn't, is because I want unique, amazing content. A template is made to fit many people. My sites are made to fit me, don't like it, then shove it.

Keep it simple stupid! Don't have a million different things going on in ur design. The reason I like matt's and jrharrvis's designs are because they are clean and simple. Easy to navigate and are easy on the eyes. Leetsooc is in there as well, only because he went out of the box. It's not as simple as the other two, but his design is very eye catching and that's why I like it. It's just all over the place right now, and I hope he can get it all aligned and the fotoer matching the site so that I would be able to consider him as a better candidate for winning.

Here is my attempt. The green boxes are for your small preview portfolio boxes. Your logos and other works go there. Next to the banner is your menu. The banner can be made flashable. Your logo didnt go well on the screenie though since it got pixelated. So ill need the psd for that.

hey guys, i have a problem with the logo here, i can't seem to download the PNG format, all i get is JPEG, i already did many ways just to get the logo, but i can't, that's the one of the missing piece in my template... can anyone give PNG link? thanks~

Yeah, sure, that's fine. I don't plan on actually announcing the winner until monday, just because I have a lot of stuff to do over the weekend and don't really have the chance to work with the designer till then.

Btw, this is the design that will probably have it. (with some minor changes) unless i'm blown away by something else.

 

just doing some tweaks...
bringing light color to body content...and removing unnecessary contents. hope this helps.. lolz. fyi.. red gradient background is personally created.
