Ha ha, well I don't know everyone else, but My design is pure vector, no PSD brushes, and about clipart, Ha! I think some people have to learn how to properly use Adobe Illustrator (I'm not saying names here) But here's maybe something that will help the ones that need it; Enjoy! http://www.allgraphicdesign.com/gra...tware-adobeillustrator/illustratorbasics.html http://www.softwaretrainingtutorials.com/illustrator-cs3.php I'll try to make different variations of my design to deliver more concepts for the contest.
Calm down, calm down, This is a thread for the Tshirt contest, let's dont fill it with random posts. I just made that comment regarding my OWN Entry for the contest. BTW I'm not trying to inspire no one, designers should be inspired by nature or by other sources. So let's end this, ok? I made that advice only for those that really need it, ok? If you are a really experienced designer and you really know how to work, then don't worry about my comment! That's it! Let's continue with the Contest. THE END.
All right then, you said you were talking about your own entry so its all good. I thought I would try one....
May I just advise the contest holder to look at other posts from some of the entrants here, have a look at their other work and use it to help make your own decision on whether some of the designs here really use 'original' artwork... because I can assure you that many of these are not original in any sense of the word. This is a $200 contest, I suggest some of you treat it that way and stop trying to rip off the contest holder.
Ok guys, come on post more entries, I'll try to post more concepts soon, but the contest holder wants to see more competition I know many of you are great designers, let's post more entries. Regarding ALL the comments around DP on original work: I'm just defending my entry, I don't have to prove anything to anybody, but my work is 100% original, it doesn't have to be "ugly" or "unprofessional" to be original work let's accept that, and regarding my entry well, if the contest holder wants a proof that my entry is %100 original I can show it to him I dont have any problems with that. As I said, this is just regarding my entry , I dont have to prove anything. Don't come and tell that I'm accusing the other designers or something like that. Deal? Ok then.
Firstly, I named no names. For the record, I wasn't aiming my comment at you, a silhouette vector is not particularly hard to achieve, therefore I would have no basis to accuse you. Secondly, I fail to see how a talented Superbike vector can seriously be "original" when the supporting text/shapes are just slapped on with no thought as to why they chose that particular typeface or style. In fact, I would think its plainly obvious to most people with half a creative eye. A five minute job looks just that... I'm not necessarily accusing anyone of anything, I'm just warning the contest holder to make double-sure before he chooses an entry and to do his research on the winning artist by checking their previous competition entries. There are many talented Vector artists on DP, L3fty and Aristoteles(sp?) for example. There are also many, many entrants who have absolutely no damn clue or passion on what they are doing and are just trying to make money by all means necessary thus bringing the overall quality of design on these boards down. Quality is subjective, but I'm sure its a commonly shared opinion that some of the designs submitted to the competitions are hilariously bad. Maybe I'm just the first to say it.
In the name of helping out the contest, for teeshirt design you need to limit the number of colors as it gets more expensive per colour, 4 should be maximum really also gradients are a no no.
WE, Whatever, ok then, here are other concepts for the T, hope you like them. And come on guys! remember there are 5 prizes for this, bring it on! Same concept, without gradients, Ha! Concept 2 Concept 3 Thanks!
