Yeah i agree with you. I have seen many sites having 0 PR are ranking on the 1st position in Google search results. So i don't think PR matters in Google ranking.

In fact, if you want to be sucessful, you have to research the keyword or your niche a lot. Then you can start other work such as site building and backlinks.

What about well written content? What about pages which are updated regularly with new information or comments? I think directory submissionn is a waste of time and money but actually producing a website people find useful or entertaining must be how some sites become successful...
