Now that this list is public I expect at least some of these blogs to turn into NoFollow blogs again.
They simple won't be able to handle that much comment spam

many thans for your list. I will not spam them. I promise.

 

why would you post the list in this thread. He was making it a download for a reason, so that people would not be able to easily click them and spam them that they would have to download it first which would eliminate most of the spammers.

 

What is the purpose of posting it as a file. The effect is the same, is it not?

And if you think it will eliminate the spammers, guess again. Whether you make it another click away to access, is not going to stop them.

And as I said, it is to give them fair warning. When someone clicks on the link in the post (rather than a local file) they will know about it.

now that the list is public, i bet some blog owners will be overwhelmed with comments. and some will be "i like your blog" type of comments and will soon turn to nofollow

 

Spam comments are easily deleted.
