I am looking for a Logo and a Mascot design for a municipality department in Vila Real de Santo Antonio, Algarve, Portugal. For the Logo: We want to use the logo in a site. The logo must have four coloured squares. Each colour will be connected to a concept area of the site. Its colours are connected to symbols of the city: Yellow - the sandy beaches Blue - the river and the sea Green - the municipal wood Red - the sunshine It's important that you have some idea of the city's history. This city is a unique case of the Enlightenment Period Urbanism. It is the product of rational urbanistic ideas, using the mathematical, geometrical (squares) and scientific knowledge in the city's project. The city was built from zero and had an important symbolic message to the rest of the nation, the triumph of the rational state over a traditionally catholic ruled country. Try something for the logo, forget about the squares... keep the 4 colours... red, blue, yellow and green. The logo will be use in the site, in documents, prints, projects, etc... I'm giving you some addictional information, hope that will help you. best regards

Thanks DCStudio, Quite good indeed!! Could you divide de components of the logo? I like the Marquis figure, but the rest is to big and not quite wait we are looking for. Remember, the logo must be something that we can use on diferent sizes, in a website page or in a print, envelope, for a heading on a official letter. The figure of the Marquis is quite good, try to use the masonic symbols or parchment papers - remembering the city project -, each one with the colours that I ask you. Hi I3fty, Can you try something more "handwriting" and informal on the lettering. We are pointing our work on young people too, so it might be important to put some "cool lettering". The logo and the lettering must be separated, to be able to use them apart. We like very much the Marquis figure. Looking foward to see your work with our suggestions. Best regards
