Ok, I launched my site last month. Not terrible stats for the little promotion I did, but I need to really do some campaigning. My budget will be 200-400 per month. How do you spend this? A. Press Releases. B. Facebook C. Google Adsense D. Craigs List and Social Bookmarking type submissions? E. Your Bright Idea.... ?????? Real Estate Information Site Niche -- Im targeting Real Estate Agents to build content. I only want Real Estate Agent traffic. Anything would be great!!!
If you have experience, try using pay per click like Yahoo, Adwords or MSN Adcenter. If not, do not touch it with a bargepole as you will lose money. Try article marketing using Ezine Articles or forum marketing. Both are very cost-effective ways to advertise your website.
Try Adowords Adwords, but if you have no previous experience you better head off spending your money on article marketing (hire content writers and pay submitting services to do the submissions manually). This method should work a lot better than wasting your money on expensive PPC campagins.
Is it a blog or a website? If a website, submit to at least 10 directories at: www.addurl.nu. If it's a blog, submit to Technorati, pingoat (that's a common one), feedburner. I think there are a couple of others, but I can't remember off the top of my head. Also, make sure your site is as SEO ready as it can be. This is a trick I do: (1) Go to "google keyword tool" (2) Click on the bubble that says "web content". A search window with http:// should appear. If it doesn't try again. (3) Copy your domain name and paste it into that search box. (4) Click Find Keywords and let keyword tool do the thinking. You should get a list of keywords that are on your site and see how many searches there are for those keywords per month. If you're in the 5-digit, 6-digit searches, you're probably going to be all right with people looking for your site. Four digits, so-so. You may have to do additional social bookmarking and possible PPC adds. 3 and 2 digit searches, time to find a new niche.
I would say none of these. And do not even think about PPC. Nothing personal, but if you are mistaking Adsense and Adwords, than what's the point to "invest" your money in PPC. You clearly have no idea how to do it right, so best don't lose your money. It's also a waste of time and especially money to submit a Press Release to PRweb.com for example, when you just don't have anything news worthy. another $100 wasted. Craigslist, Facebook, social bookmarking...ohh you mean spamming...well good luck - If you succeed please shot me a PM to tell me how have you done it. Well..after we know what not to do it will be a waste of my post to not tell you what to do. You said that you want only Real Estate Agents traffic...think about it for a minute. The answer to your problem is hiding in that particular statement....only real estate agents....well why don't you go where only real estate agents are gathering and advertise only there....simple, right? Simple and effective! Search for blogs and forums for real estate agents. I know for sure there are many like that. You can ask the owner of the forum how much it will cost you for a banner,or a mass PM, or a "sticky topic" in a popular section of the forum. Same thing with blogs and other communities - ask to write content for then in exchange for a link or advertisement - some will decline, some will never answer you, but some will gladly accept. If you don't have other choices you can always pay for advertisement that will fit in your $400 budget. Just be a little creative, don't just go submit your website to a whole bunch of general web directories and than spam your links all over the web. That simply doesn't work anymore. Good luck with the promotion, mate!
First you should try to local marketing in you area. cause real estate market working good locally. Contact agents and let them know about your website and services.
All of the methods works. But quality and quantity does matter. Try avoiding adwords for a while, invest your money in some e-mail marketing campaigns or rather hire some content writers and start doing some article marketing, that should work.
First you should buy some links to get the PR up and then focus on targeting for specific keywords on search engines. Good PR will bring you nice traffic from SE.
I would spend it on google adsense and yahoo search marketing. I would invest $50 a week on link builindg I would also set up a mailing list.
try an ezine for only real estate agents. this could get allot of regular readers that are your target audience
For cheap advertising try adtoll.com. You can pick and choose the sites you want your ad to run on. You can get pictext ads at $1.00 a week. I ordered 1 month of advertisement on a website that has pretty decent traffic and click through. Its been so good that Im noticing an increase in my Adsense income and in traffic. You can also place banner ads.
Whole set of discussion has given me ideas on how to go ahead on marketing on sites. I will prefer going by adwords on google. ..Thanks
I would hire people to post on real estate related forums (catered towards agents) and post comments on agent blogs
Don't waste it on Facebook. I spent a lot of money advertising there once, with very poor results. And it's not just me - I've heard the same from countless others. Good luck.
