Hello Everyone, This is a re-post because the original posting was not clear. The $200 is for the logo design, please send me a bid for the rest of the project (whether partial or complete). So this could pay significantly more depending on what you can do and who wins the logo and bid. This will be a good gig -- we're initially looking for a good logo, but eventually we're looking to expand this a complete branding package including WP theme, and other graphic design elements, I put a higher than usual pricing on this logo contest to interest those of you that may want to fulfill the entire package. If you don't mind, please provide me, in addition to your logo entry, an idea of what it will cost me to have you develop an entire graphic layout (mini-site, packaging, wp theme) ... if you don't have those skills, i still want your logo entry. Here is a lot of information about the brand -- now the main thing to remember is that our goal is to create a brand that will reach beyond the traditional folks ... we want this jewelry selling in New York, Boston, Paris, Sydney ... so we're trying to create a classy, world-wide brand for a product that has thousands of years of tradition ... please get creative, the price will be worth it. Back Story: REVETI - A vision from the Himalayas, a flavor of a time long ago, designed for the modern you. Shyama Bhaskar was born in the town of Simla, an opulent and exclusive resort area nestled in the lap of the Grand Himalayas. Simla, was well known to be the summer capital of the Viceroy of India and his Royal court. The city had become famous for its buildings styled in tudorbethan and neo-gothic architecture dating from the colonial era. It’s was this very architecture that has inspired and influenced Shyama since her childhood. During the festive and party laden spring and summer months, the grand ladies and gentlemen of the Raj, British and Indian alike, opened up their ancestral places in Simla for Extravagant events. Soon, the Simla was known more for its balls and masquerades, theatrical performances, parties and royal picnics, than it was for its architecture. I During the party season’s Simla’s High Mall Road thronged with elegantly dressed men doffing their hats to beautifully turned out women in silks and brocades . And of course the wondrous jewelry for which India was already deservedly famous. Shyama grew up surrounded by the style and elegance of those from times long ago. These traditions had been held tight by remaining families with deep roots to Silma. Shyama dreamed as young adult to bring these to the western world and share the dream she had lived as a child. Today that dream has become a reality, and finally after many years of dreaming and creating, the Reveti Line of Jewelry has taken shape into an exclusive line maintaining its origins, but yet tastefully adapted for the modern women. Shayma’s Bio: Shyama Bhaskar began to explore her creative artistry in jewelry Design as young adult. Her first explorations earned acclaim from her select circle of friends who eagerly acquired the unique pieces she created and sold at exclusive private showings. This early successes encouraged her to study gemology and jewelry making in depth, and to learn the secrets of fine craftsmanship from traditional Indian artisans. Shayma was offered a position with Hennell of Bond Street in London, one of the world's oldest silversmiths, and jewelers to British royalty since 1736. Until 1997 Shyama held a key position at Hennell and was part of the core team that helped to design and manufacture the magnificent silver trophy for Indo-British friendship presented by Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II on the occasion of the 50th anniversary of Indian Independence. Hisotry of the Name: In 1998, Shyama created Reveti, introducing her own unique vision to the exclusive world of fine jewelry. Reveti, in Indian mythology, is the Jeweler to the Gods. In Vedic astrology she is one of the 27 Nakshatras who are considered to be the daughters of Daksha Prajipat, the Cosmic Helper, who was charged by the creator of the Universe, Brahma, to help him make the cosmos. The 27 daughters of Daksha married the Moon and came to represent different astrological influences, the Moon spending one day with each of them to form the 27-day lunar cycle of Indian astrology. Reveti, ruled by the planet Mercury, approximates to the Western zodiacal symbol of Pisces. Her symbol is a fish and her motivation is Moksha or release from earthly bonds. Little wonder that Reveti's human manifestation is that of a jeweler, creator of a timeless art which gives us a glimpse of ageless beauty. It is this symbol of an eternal symmetry which inspired Reveti jewelry. Exclusive masterpieces designed by a master designer. Gold, silver, pearls and precious gems intricately woven into timeless designs. Marketing message: Indian jewelry offers a variety with few parallels in the world. More than just embellishment, it also has great cultural and religious significance, with certain ornaments traditionally worn to mark specific occasions. Aesthetically, it stands apart from western jewelry in that each item is painstakingly handcrafted. This is what makes each work of Reveti's heritage jewelry unique…and there are so many styles to choose from. Buyer Demographics:
