Hi! I want 1 page designed. It is for a horse-race company. We are looking for a high quality design, so please dont enter the contest if you are not serious. Dates: The entry will be open until the 18th and contest will end at latest the 25th. However, between the the 18th - 25th, if i am happy with a design i will pick that one as a winner. So try your best to give your entry before the 18th. Colours: Green (a soft green) White Gold (not much of this colour) Theme: I want it to be a very fresh and clean design. Top: I want the logo to the left. Leave it empty, I will start a competition for the logo when this is done. To the right I want some statistic to show in a nice way. Statistic: X Horses X Horses under training X Horses for sale X Horses leased out X Breeding horses Menu: Horizontal Header: I want it to have a WOW header with a horse on and put a Example text as slogan. Also a button on the header that says “See all horsesâ€. Content: 1. An article 2. Statistic will show here , maybe to show it on a nice way. F.e. on a wood board. Other ideas are welcomed. 3. Right column: Box 1: Navigation bar with 5 links Box 2: 5 latest videos. Just video name. Also a link “See all videos†Box 3: A calendar where you can see all the days, and the days that have activity will be bold. Under the calendar the 3 nextcoming events will show with date and type of event. Box 4: 5 latest news with dates and news name. Footer: There will be 11 discrete sponsor logos here. they will be pretty small and have a height around 30-40px and different width.
I have questions....I am a bit confused on the statistics? Any sites you like the look of for inspiration as to your style? Do you have high quality images for use on the page or will you purchase stock images? How many months on the calender? Are the navigation links the same title as the stats? Site width preference? to make sure we are on the same page would you mind if I sent you a wireframe layout just boxed out and labeled before I spend hours on design. I don't use templates I hand design each site so I want to make sure we are both happy...
hi, it would be very much easier to design your best having first the logo contest. color scheme will revolved around the logo. also i think designers find it simple to design a page with a logo. just my 2 cents... btw, i might give this a try if my time permits... -jr
Statistics This is just names and numbers showing in normal tables. You can make a nice frame or whatever. I want it to be eyecathing, thats the main part. Calender It will show all the dates for 1 month. and have arrows next to the month name so you can change month. Navigation links This will show all kind of different links. So use same icon for every link and if you want to show an icon on the bar, have a "link" theme. graphicsnjeneral: I wouldnt mind. But you have to understand that a 100% complete design will look more attractive than a non completed. If you want to do like that, please show good references and a comment on whats left to do. jnjnnino: I dont think logo is necessary for now since we want an "out of the box" template and a nice discrete logo. So we chose to do it this way. Look forward to see your design.
