I thought it was a college kid??? And if you are trying to compare he was arrested and was found guilty if I remember correctly. He was some white supremacist neo-nazi or similar. So how this compares to the argument at hand is beyond me.

First of all I am not spinning anything. Put your jewish bias aside for one second.
The best to defend oneself against rape accusations is to attack the victim. People do it everywhere including the United States where now the law forbides any attorney to look at the victim's history to put her on trial during rape cases.
In some muslim countries (and in most 3rd world countries), the legal system is such that sometimes, men with power can get away with pretty much everything. It has nothing to do with Islam but how people can influence the court and get their way and the victim ends up being punished. There are no victim advocates as they are in the US.
In most cases though, the person who commits the crime or rape is found guilty and pays for it but there are some cases where the victim is blamed and the rapist is able to get away with it. So what?? You found some cases. But I am sure if you were to research the majority of cases where the rapists got punished, you would find no trouble finding them.

Islam gives great respect and protection to women. But I am sure this is NOT what you want to hear. How women are treated also depend on cultural trends and not necessarily on religion. How women are treated in Morocco, in Syria, in Saudi Arabia, in West Africa, in Malaysia, in Indonesia, etc... is different even though all these areas are islamic.

Also, with a little bias in mind, one can find bad actions committed by followers of any religion. I read stories about Indian widows forced to be burned alive after their husband's death. I read stories about mass-murderers and rapists who happened to be christians, christians who killed and chopped off their wives or husbands in pieces, etc...
You will find what you are looking for. Not sure why I am even debating you. Your bias clouds your judgement.

I do respect women and all the muslims that I know respect women.

Funny how Islam is the fastest growing religion in the West and more europeans and americans are embracing Islam than ever.

You can go on for years about how great Islam treats women, fact is, it's a bold face lie. There is nothing else to call it, it's a lie.

In Iran the police and government did this to the poor girl.

In the US, the police would be helping the victim and hunting down the person that raped her.

If I were raped today, I would not report it

I imagined that the police would have grilled me on why I was upstairs with two men (I was taking a sneaky break and sharing a cigarette with the son), and why I had been drinking (I had had half a pint of lager). For years afterwards, while campaigning against rape and other crimes as a founder of the group Justice for Women, I bitterly regretted not reporting my attackers. My overwhelming feeling was guilt. What if they succeeded next time?
