This is from the postbit of friendly forum:

I have received the code to integrate this into our forum. We have the images as well. But, we need to have the nice mirror effect the images in that forum have.

So, here is what we need.

    1. Download the PSD file with named layers from: http://rapidshare.com/files/99285281/Insignias.rar.html
    2. Make each of the images in the layers have a maximum length of 100 px. There are a total of 12 small images in the PSD.
    3. Make the most beautiful fading mirror image possible keeping the ratio as above (I think it is 25% of height but I am not sure)
    3. Write the name of the layer above the picture itself like above, but in a much much more beautiful font and with only the first letter capitalized. If you think you can make all caps look great too, go for it!

The winning entry would be the one with the most beautiful mirror image (shine, blur, resolution, aesthetics, etc.) and the most beautiful text.

You can post the links to your PNGs here in this thread. Deadline would be about 24 hours from now.

    Thanks!

No mr_jinsue, something like that, but at 100px width and still have the fonts nicely readable, and the reflection much more subtle like the image I displayed in my first post. Even without the intervening line it should look like a good reflection. Also, the background should be completely transparent.

I didn't realize this would actually be a hard thing to accomplish. Fireworks anyone?

Very nice RNHalawi.com. Really nice reflection. Can you do something about the text? Is that Arial or Verdana? Any better fonts? Anything more stylish maybe? Any effects?

Nice josh. However, the reflections seem too deep. RNHalawi.com got the depth perfect there. His reflections are perfect. Except for the depth/height ratio, your pictures look good josh. Also the font... it has to be the same small size font through all 12 images. That is, the same font and the same size should be for "General of the Armies" and "General" and it should still look good even though the latter picture is much bigger (screen space in the 100 px). So far the best font I like is the first one in RNHalawi's. But, there is always room for improvement, I hope.

Okay, time to announce the winner: RNHalawi.com.

Thanks, your work looks perfect. Once I receive the PSD with all 12 layers modified accordingly, I will dispatch the payment via PayPal.

    Good day.

Why should it not work my way? I would like to make sure all the images are done perfectly before finalizing payment. Is there a problem?

Anyway, we did work that way and payment was sent after a couple of mails either ways.
