    About the job:
We are a rapidly growing UK based web design & development and internet marketing company. Most of our development is based in Estonia so we have long experience with working with developers via VPS and Skype. Now we are looking for another programmer to take on board remotely from anywhere in the World. We are looking for a long-term relationship and this position may become a full-time permanent position in 1-2 months in case of good compatibility. If you are really good then it may become full-time position after first test project.

The position can be either part-time (20hrs per week) or full-time (40hrs per week) however you wish.

You are perfect for us if you are…
…at home with PHP/MySQL (Ajax (jQuery). & W3C valid HTML5/CSS3 are an advantage)
…have experience and good at MODx and Magento. Wordpress and other open source web applications skills will be an advantage.
…a quick learner and always willing to learn more about Magento, MODx and other possible great scripts.
…willing to work every day 4 hours on agreed time. Working hours will be any four hours between 10am - 6pm GMT+0 London time. So for example if you decide to work 4 hours per day then your working hours can be 10am-2pm or 1pm - 5pm etc. If you work 8 hours per day then some hours can be outside our working hours. It's up to you to choose working hours and on your national holidays you don't have to work if you tell us these days at least a week ahead.
…able to estimate how long different tasks will take and then keep deadlines. If you estimate wrong and task takes longer than you expected then you must be willing to work more hours and on weekends/holidays to not miss the deadline promised to the customer. From other hand if there's a quiet period (mostly during summers and Christmas time) you can easily ask a day off or have even longer holiday if you wish.
…good at understanding different business needs and English language! We want to be able to see during the working hours your screen via VPS (TeamViewer or any other) and be able to call you any time via Skype or text chat via Skype and get quick answers.

If this was your description, we would like to hear about…
    1. ...your experience in PHP (describe some projects you have done)
    2. ...which other (open source) PHP applications and frameworks do you know and how well?
    3. …how good you are at MODx and Magento (we'll make a very quick test to see if you have experience in MODx and Magento)
    4. …your experience in Ajax (jQuery, etc.) & W3C valid XHTML5/CSS3 (we will give a test job before we hire you part-time or full-time)
    5. …your previous work experience (links to projects completed with short explanation)
    6. …your hourly rate for a) 20 hours per week; b) 40 hours per week;
    7. …your availability

All 7 points please, email to

    Hello!

Please, don't contact me if you're nor REALLY GOOD AT MODx!!! I have millions of contacts so far:

50% say honestly I'm not very experienced in MODx

50% lie to me that they are experienced hoping to get the job. They think that if they're good at PHP and some other CMS systems then how difficult it can be to learn MODx. No, no and no! It's not like that. I'm MODx developer myself and I know that it takes at least a year before you feel that you can do anything in MODx. And as I'm MODx developer I will understand very quickly if you're not very experienced in MODx. So why to spen your and my time?

DO NOT CONTACT ME IF YOU'RE NOT HIGHLY EXPERIENCED IN MODx!
