Contest $20 Logo Design For Pet Website

Looking for a logo design for Terrapins.co.uk

Needs to reflect the niche so wanting it to be a bit cute, but still retain a professional look.

Looking for the following deliverables:

- 2x versions (one on a dark background, one on a light version)
- A transparent background version
- A favicon
- The original psd or vector file

Note that by terrapin I mean like a pet turtle.

 

Thanks @vectors. I think the icon is probably too busy, would prefer something simpler. Also, it looks more like a tortoise than a terrapin.

Not keen on the font, looks a bit too 'teenage mutant ninja turtles' and goes too far towards cute therefore losing some professionalism.

 

@Aldabu - This one has potential. I like the modern clean look. Think the icon needs more work though, looks a little odd and again, look more like a tortoise.

@pehulz - Not bad, think it works better on a white background but overall I think it perhaps looks a little dated.

 

@logos4all - I think the last of those is the best one so far. I do like the simpler kind of feel but still with something going on on the font. Feel like the icon could be better still though.

@Blue Tamaraw - Sorry, this wouldn't really work. It's far too much emphasis on the image and means I'd need a very big logo to have everything readable. I prefer wider logos with less height.

@Blue Tamaraw - Sorry, I don't like that one at all. I won't be using the current header on the site in any way so no need to include that. The logo looks too busy.

@logos4all - I probably prefer one colour for the icon but two colours for the text (so a mix of the two versions you've done). I quite like it but not sure on the icon.

@pehulz - Better but I don't think it's quite right for what I'm going for. I don't think that approach will work.

@kevinmendoza - I like this one. It's simple, clean and clear. Would be good to see if you have any other ideas for the icon. Not that I dislike that one as such, just thinking there may be an even better idea out there.

@me2_me2 - Not massively keen on that icon and I don't like the font I'm afraid. The simplicity is on the right lines though.

 

@me2_me2 - Better. Though I prefer the logo to be wider rather than higher. Could you try moving the icon to the left of the text (and flip it so the terrapin is looking towards the text).
