$20 Logo Contest

I need a logo created for my site, Incident1.com.

The logo should be sized to fit into the space in the upper left hand corner of the page, currently occupied by the word "Incident1" in large letters and follow by the tagline "National Maps of Police, Fire, 911, and Emergency Incidents".

The logo should have the word "Incident" followed by a badge with a "1" in it.

The contest ends 48 hours from the first submission. I will provide feedback to everyone who participates. The winner will be paid via PayPal. The winner will provide the source file in .psd or .ai format, and grant me full rights to the design.

I reserve the right not to choose a winner if I am not satisfied with any of the entries.

I like it, jinsona, but it would be better if the badge were a little bit shorter relative to the height of the text. Also, the number one looks a little bit odd with a sliver top and black bottom--maybe it could be all silver, lighter at the top and darker at the bottom?

I like: All caps "INCIDENT"

I don't like: Ratio of badge height to "INCIDENT" height. Badge should be smaller.

I don't like: dark top and bottom of the number "1". I'd like it to be all silver.

The flag is not compulsory.

I like the red text. I like the second (blue background) version the best.

There are two problems with your logo. First, it won't fit into the space on the site. Second, I'd like the "1" badge to be on the right of the word "Incident" rather than below it.

Saves Th3 Day: I like your badge the best so far. Do you think the blue font will look OK on the dark background that I have?

jinsona: good work on the badge size and color of the number. The "1" could be a little bit smaller, as the top actually goes outside of the badge. Same question about how this will look on my background.

DaveyBoy: your font looks great on the background. Your shield has a simpler shape and not quite as striking as the other two.

use some vibrant color to standout logo from the rest....and also i use the preset badge of photoshop....just manipulate it to look good like others....
