$20 Logo Contest - Local website - Color And Layout already chosen

I am programming the site georgetownkentucky .net at the moment.

I have the color scheme already picked out with a temporary logo picked out. Just visit the site to see what I'm talking about.

Currently I have a simple logo overhaning the white, which i like, however It isn't really a logo, I just put the text there.

Please make me a logo as it would fit into the top left of georgetown and i will paypal the winner $20.

I'd like to keep the colors "similar" to what is already there.

Thanks. Site themes are community, forums, classifieds, neighborhood, sharing, etc. it's going to be a local community website.

I really hope you like it. If this wins the contest, the JLEville watermark will be removed of course. It fits your websites layout perfectly and if put where your old logo is at the moment, would overlap the white div beneath it. Also, if you like it but have any suggestions or areas of improvement for me, I'll edit it...no problem. Thanks!

@JLEville - not really what I'm looking for, it's basically what I have already with a different font, thanks for trying

@DesireeJoy - probably needs to have lettering next to each other instead of on top of each other, the font isn't the best, and it could use some gradients or "spice", however I do like the personality with the apartment building

@Adamant - love the "look and feel" plus the pictures stack thing is cool, however like above I don't think the text over text fits to well with the site. if you were going to try again I would say make text side by side (however you could make it work and look good), add the .net to the logo but remove where domain name it's spelled all the way out

Ok, I'll definitely try some other styles of fonts and such. It was based on the town hall of Georgetown.

I'll try again in a little bit when I have my Wacom plugged in

 

@DesireeJoy - the idea was good but the overall look wasn't as "professional" looking if you understand.

@Adamant - the logo is still about the same height and won't fit into the layout well. thanks for the attempt. maybe put the photo stuff behind the words or try something different witht hose things

@msdriven79 - cool integration with the site, probably the best attempt to make a logo that actually fits into the layout, I like the people however they look rather "stock graphics", george and town should be the same color, and over all the the colors seem off a shade or something in the color matching

@msdriven79 - I liked your first attempt better, and per the first feedback the george and town should be the same color

@Istvan - good try but the font is too fancy and I'm not feeling the flag.

My two favorites so far are Adamant's second one and msdriven79's first one however both aren't in something I would use on the site.

All - thanks for the entries, i thought this would be easy however this is so far my longest logo contest. My last two contests ended early however I'm beginning to wonder if I'll get something I can use here. suggestions?
