Hi all We have a website comroads (dot) com It's a video website for dash cam videos where you can play the videos directly from a map to see where they happened (explainer video: comroads (dot) com/explainervideo) The problem is that we've found that users don't understand the concept and don't browse the site using the map. We were thinking of either having something point or guide the people to the map, or actually have the explainer video run somehow on the homepage for people on their first visit. For this contest, please find the best way to add something to the homepage to make people understand that they should use the map. Payment via Paypal
Thanks zsmart.... We want to improve the UX by changing the UI. What you offered doesn't really fix the issue at hand. It doesn't make the map navigation any more apparent. You just repositioned the thumbnails a bit.
Thank you for the feedback. Dont know maybe I'm outdated, that repositioning bit in the top of the page and not in the bottom will help the user to see the map without missing the main reason of your site, also it's alot easier for a user to navigate this way ( in my opinion), keeping a little map on the bottom with some videos based on 2 cells is too much for a user. At how it looks now - As a user with no experience I cant notice if the videos are from that map, because first I see the videos and after the map, this repositioning of bit makes alot of difference.
