$20 Graphic Design Contest - Need a Banner for My Blog

    I need a banner for a blog (Fruit Heights Friends). It will go where the words are currently at: http://www.fruitheightsfriends.com

    Reload the blog to see different photos to get an idea of the personalities and place. The blog is to let people know about events and issues affecting the neighborhood and city. Mostly it's a place to keep in touch.

    I have a photo of a sign that greets people when they drive in to the neighborhood. I'd like you to use that in the design but I'm open to your ideas. I've attached something that you can use to see the general concept (the sun shine rays) and the size of the banner. That was my bad attempt at designing my own.

    Feel free to do what you think works best with or without any of the files I provide.

    I will pay $20 for this design via PayPal.

    so far my favorite is redeemer.
    I like the color across in MH Giant's (with the purple color across) but not the font and not purple.
    The others are too cartoon and to me don't match the style of the neighborhood.

    i had made 2 different color themes for banner, but by including provided image.... Check these designs...

    blankeyecue, your design looks amazing!

    As just a thought maybe relocate the title/sign slightly more to the left, since people read from left to right and the blog content seems left justified. It looks great!

    blankeyecue - I like it - but I think the sign should go to the left and a little lower key (lighter?) on the clouds and hills. I like your idea of using mountains - because the city is located right at the base of a huge mountain range. Could you lighten the background and put the text on somewhere that says: "What's Happening Around Fruit Heights, Utah" Love what you've done with the sign!!!

    paladin884 - like the 2nd one with the sunburst - not so sure on the colors though. Could the blue be the color of sunshine? and a little lighter on the font face and add: "What's happening in Fruit Heights & Utah"


    graphikos - the design looks like an apt. building and it's a high end housing development. Thanks for your design but it's not the look I'm seeking.

    RaZzYeL - the font is not the look I'm seeking, nor are the colors. I like the sun in the corner but it's so light it's tough to see.

    GADAWG52505 - I like your idea because it's unique and it's pretty! Your design doesn't work with the sign I submitted though - please remove it - I can use it somewhere else like on the "About Us" page. I'd like to see it with another font (not so arts & crafts). I love arts & crafts but it doesn't capture the neighborhood or area very well. Could you lighten the background and try another font? Also, please make it say: "What's happening in Fruit Heights, Utah" just in case people don't know that it's a city in Utah.
