I am really sorry for the late reply. My friend is overwhelmed with the number of great entries. I will have a decision later today.
Sorry if I am not acknowledging your designs, that’s because:
Reason #1: they all look great and my friend would be happy choosing any of them
Reason #2: it is quite complicated to get his opinion when he has so many truly great designs to choose from.
Nevertheless later today I will announce the winner and sorry again for my late reply

Seriously the entries were great and any one of them could also be chosen as they look great but there can only be one winner.

 

Thank you for your observation @sarahk, but I only used the logo you made reference to, as inspiration. See the attached logo file below, which was the actual finished logo design job I sent to the contest holder, after chosen my work. Meanwhile, the contest holder was aware of your point of reference.

 

@sarahk thanks for this. I just saw it as I was busy with other work. And this is the reason I ask to post all entries on the thread and not via PM.
I am also surprised that other designers have not called this out when to me it is a very obvious rip off from another designer's work. @Papacita I never knew you simply copied someone else's design. Had I known I definitely would not have chosen "your" design.
What do you guys think about this? I don't think it is right to award the prize to papacita given he copied someone else's design and tried to pass it as his own. It is a long story but for some reason of the more than 50 contests that I held here this is the only one where payment has not been made and I don't think I should make it and instead choose another design and then pay that other designer. Please let me know your thoughts.
