20$ for a header background design; multiple winner!

Hi,

I need (to be reuse in a publishing software) some header background design, without logo or image or search box, only the background with:

* size 1000 x 200
* PSD with layers
* color hexa 408080 (or rgb 64,128,128) with variation
* filled background or transparent
* design should be OK (not discontinuous) if repeated right (important) or down (less important).

Some sample of what I am looking for are in attachment (just consider the background).

You can suggest any design you found on the web and ask me before starting to work: the design should be serious, soft, clean, simple, up to date.

After general remarks, I will review all entries.

The total number of header to win will be between 5 and 10 and may be more if valuable job is done. Some of the design (5 or more) here may be selected, but I can't exactly say which one right now, and am waiting for more entries.

General remarks
~~~~~~~~~~~~
+ the header should only continous if repeated right (i don't care about vertical direction)
+ the header background should not be flat but should have some 3D effect
+ effects, pattern, color variations should not be strong but slight to avoid the reader's attention to be caught by the header
+ the pattern you make use of should be somehow original (for example: stripes are not so unique!)
+ the overall design should be for a serious/business oriented website (I will keep some more fun design like with those with stars, but it isn't my main need)
+ web2.0 design like is OK but not necessary. I should be somehow main-stream and up to date, as found on commercial authoritative website.
+ all effects should be on it own layer (more or less): avoid merging layers

Last one of post 4 is the nearest to what I want, but is too flat. Could be for a page background. Pattern of first header within post 5 and 3rd header within post 6 are nice. Lack of 3D effects overall

Sorry, far from what I expect.

The good point with olariualex is that his design is more serious/business than fun. The darker grid makes the design somehow overloaded.

* DesignCreator (post 12, 17)

The 2rd design within post 17 is serious/business oriented. Maybe overloaded with the horizontal stripes at the bottom. First header within post 17 has too strong effects.

* msi 52

Original try, but pattern is too big, attention is strongly caught. Please separate all headers within separate files in order I can try them in my application.

* hard2kill

Overloaded. Speed effect + stripes ?

* Exupery

good job, but add some more unattended headers.
