This is bad, I got email about not comply then I contact them yesterday and now this morning my ctr right now is at 20%? Is my account really in jeopardy now? #*$!? This was my previous thread http://forums.digitalpoint.com/showthread.php?t=122008
In your previous thread you did not clairfy the post properly. Anyway, 20% will not get you banned if you did not do anything fishy i.e. invalid clicks.
I meant I may be in trouble because I got that email from them previously and I contacted them about it and now my CTR jump from very low to 20%.
if you got the 20 % ctr, google will only be glad with a publisher like you in my opinion IF you got the ctr in a honest way.
Nah, 20% isn't much. I've had more than 100% once, which I thought was definitely impossible until I thought about it for a while. I get over 50% on one of my pages, and I've had no trouble, despite emailing Google to ask them if that page was ok by them. High CTR doesn't mean you're cheating, it just means that the ads are really relevant to your visitors.
There is no problem with that if you aint asking someone to click your ads or clicking them your self. To be save email adsense and tell them about your problem!
if the ctr is genuine (i.e. from different ip addresses and sustainable), even 50% (or more) is not a problem. google will love you as you're bring them revenue too... just make sure no one (e.g. your friends or relatives) are trying to help you out and clicking on your ads. maybe you could get one of those adsense trackers to keep track of clicks and see if there is a trend - that way, you can find out if there is really something fishy...
I follow Google's advise on ad placement, blending, etc and 20% is in the safe range. If your site is based on a topic that people research in 10 to 40% is OK, if you have a forum with repeat visitors expect around 1%.
