Contest $20 contest for logo - more work will potentially be offered to the winner

Hi guys,

I'm looking for a logo to advertise a clients soundsystem rental company. It's aimed at younger people (18-25) who are serious about their music. I don't want any photographs in the logo, though suitable vectors and drawings might work.

The name of the company is 'S10 Soundsystem'. The logo should appeal to the target audience mentioned above. The speakers are usually hired out to house parties and usually play dance music, so keep that in mind when designing.

The contest will be settled on Thursday at 12pm UK time (or earlier if there is a clear and deserved winner) and i'll pay by paypal. The client is also looking to get flyers and posters designed, so bare in mind that if you win you could potentially earn more money from more work.

To be honest the entries so far aren't what the client is looking for, though they all show a lot of skill and so I'd like to encourage you to try again.

Just a little question - does your client want a speaker(s) in the logo? And from the images I understood that he wants something more vectorish and colourful, the type of fonts and vectors used in the house music style writings and images? Starting to work on a new version though

 

Speakers can be in the logo, but perhaps at a similar size to the text so that the text is still an important part of the image?

And it sounds like you've got the second part spot on.

I really like this one, it's definitely a candidate. I think you've used the style of the scene well.

Can't quite work out how to multiquote - so for the rest;
Onlyfights - I'm sorry but this isn't 100% what i'm looking for at this stage. It's a bit too generic and I don't really like the tagline. If you could change those things i'd love to see another attempt
Carnage - I like this one too - could you perhaps make another where there are two S's? One for Soundsystem and one for S10? Other than that it's also a contender
Ideosmil - I'm not a big fan of yours, sorry. It's not really in the style mentioned above - can everyone have a look at the pictures I posted and take them as inspiration? I think 'thelegendary' has captured the essence of what i'm looking for best so far

here's my revision..

 

I like this one, but i don't think it's a winner as the font is too obvious - by this i mean that all the S's are exactly the same etc - looks too clean and neat.
TrafficRide, I appreciate your efforts but I don't really think your concepts are what i'm looking for, sorry
Onlyvidu - You've got the name of the speakers wrong, but i like the design - I'd like to see a properly done version.
Carnage - I prefer that version, thanks. You're in with a chance
