20,000 page viewed by one guy within 2 hours

Can anyone help to protect this guy from viewing my page. This guy is surfing more than 20000+ pages within 2 hours.

You can try banning his IP address.

I have never tried banning IP address from my sites just that I read somewhere that it can be done.

Hahaha... nope, haven't seen any on my site.

Although, I saw people spamming other site and the administrator can ban their IP address.

Hope you will get rid of that guy soon.

 

Thank God! I have not placed Adsense ads on these pages. Otherwise Google banned my Adsense account today definitely. I think these are the reasons why some publishers lose their Adsense account.

It is a nonsense. Do you think he clicks manually your page with a rate 20000 times in 2 hours!?
Surely, no javascripts (and adsense javascripts) are activated.

 

Hes not saying that some guy is doint it manually, he is annoyed at the obvious waste of resources by someone who clearly has set something up wrong.

maybe the guy use software to copy your site contents. us .htaccess to ban his ip

 

doesn't that work out at 2.7 visits per second? I'm useless using calculators.

 

IIS allows IP Banning (which is what your running if you have asp pages)

Actually, a better idea, use sessions - so he physically can only submit once. On the submit-success page set a session which expires in 24 hrs, if he doesn't have the session and (also combining with the block IP technique... store and block his ip per 1 24 hr session).
