AGS is usually first for breaking news. Well it looks like another 20,000 are being thrown into the shitter.* What do you do when you realise an unwinnable war is unwinnable? Throw more troops into it. Total complete waste of time, it will make absolutely no difference to the disaster that is the illegal invasion and occupation of Iraq. * This is fresh off of Reuters.
You trust Reuters? They have been known for publishing fake photographs, fake stories, and the likes. They even published the recent "Christmas Message from an American Soldier" in which the soldier was blown up by an IED...ABC proved the soldier is stationed in the US currently and is alive. Reuters....just another bunch of biased media.
ok, I hate cnn, because they are biased but FOX... I'll throw this post in by lorien, give it a read and tell me what you think...
Whether you like Fox or not, it is the only news outlet that tries to show both sides of an issue by inviting opposing parties to the discussion as a standard part of their format. None of the other news stations are known for doing that. Yeah, it does have a conservative slant, but literally every other news program is clearly biased in favor of the liberal viewpoint. I for one get tired of hearing only one side of the story from other news outlets. You only hear what the media moguls want you to hear, and it frequently does not resemble reality. I don't think anyone has ever accused CNN of being conservative. In the 1990s it used to be referred to as the Clinton News Network.
True on that...and if you seperate Fox News from the Fox political shows (like hannity and colmes, O'reilly) then it actually becomes MORE middle of the road...I think they do a great job of staying there as well.
Most of Fox's programs are mainstream and interesting. Even with Hannity and Colmes, you hear both sides of an issue--even though each side is very biased. I've never completely understood the liberal distain for O'Reilly. I don't see him as being a hard core Republican. He frequently bashes Republican viewpoints as well Democrats. He is one of the few guys who asks the tough questions during interviews. I think his right-wing label started with Al Franken's unprovoked attacks on him, plus his traditionalist viewpoints. Most of my liberal friends think O'Reilly is an extreme right-wing nut case, but I don't think that any of them have actually watched his program. I see him as opinionated, but from a centrist viewpoint. I think he favors things that are good for the country and society, regardless of politics.
Remind me what happened to al franken? Oh yeah, his radio station DIED due to no funding or support...poor poor liberal..
