I am almost in the same situation. I have a digital camera site, abou 300 unique visitors / day. Almost all AdSense ads are targeted (for example : digital camera reviews, Canon Cameras etc.), but the earnings is low $0.5-$1/day , 400 impression/day, 3-6 click/day
Have you tried to put the ads in different locations? Try inserting them right in the content. For example a large rectangle just after starting the camera review. A leaderboard just under the header. You can also try link units under categories instead on the footer. Remove the border. Change the link color into blue e.t.c Tell me if you experience higher payments...
check it again. Even the worse blogs can earn that much. I have earned that much from kontera ads. But with Google Adsense I now make about 300 to 400 per month. Before that it was more but a foolish mistake brought me down.
Here are some reasons why the income is less than $100 1. Technical topics attract internet saavy users most whom ignore ads. 2. Ads displayed are of low quality 3. Typical CPM is 5-10, which means it takes over 1000 impressions to generate $5 daily.
I think you might have the right answer for it. 1. Yup, it a pure technical sites. 2. Don't know how to checked the quality of ads 3. That right also.
it is not much traffic no.. but I am receiving the same on one of my blogs and my best month was $ 60 your friend is doing something wrong if he is doing this already for 2 years, thats obvious.
A few hundreds unique users per day is really not much. Now the question is how you make more out of it. You may want to consider adding in-text advertisement to your site. Since you have quality content- consider Kontera, it can run together with Adsense. Mika
my dear friend if you want to earn from adsense then you need atleast 5000 unique visitor per day. remember the term unique. Then you will be able to reach $100 in month or 2
I disagree sir! I know sites which make $400 per month with 400 uniques per day!! It is all depends on your content...
Hi Guys, Interesting topic here. Adsense is a numbers game all right, but the truth is that if you received 1 million visitors who know what Adsense is, none of them gonna click to make you money. Think of it, how many times in a year do you click on someone's Adsense? To make money from Adsense, you must target visitors who are ignorant of Adsense, visitors who are unbiased and genuinely looking for information. Again you must not offer her contents that satisfy her need. Your content should only help her make informed decision on arrival at the merchant’s site. Having Adsense on your site is a service to the visitor, so let it not be obvious that you are advertising. It is best if you Adsense compliments your content as an end to the visitors quest. Having said all that, note that you will not make enough money from loads of millions of visitors to one topic of related keywords, but you should be making substantial dollars from few different unrelated keywords on different sites or blogs. I make on the average between $5 - 8 with traffic below 100 from about 4 sites and 2 blogs daily. So your earnings dedpend on keywords, not the number of visitors. You are supposed to first target what people are searching for and the people should be Adsense ignorants else you will have loads of visitors and no dollars to show for them. I like Adsense a lot, because I am getting my cuts from it. Using thousands of low hanging keywords that have thousands of daily search counts, but competition as low as 5, thousands of LSI themed keywords, thousands of Google related keywords and thousands of miss-spelled keywords I churn out thousands of web page contents with Website Content Wizard in a couple of days and upload . This is my first post, so you will not see my sig, but never mind as soon as I make the required 10 post you can get to see it and find a link to how I do it. Hang on there, Ad sense is a gold mine.
Although a few hundred is not much, it's still enough to make a few bucks a day. I thing it's all about placement. Post your URL to get some feedback.
Is there many out there who don't even know about Google Adsense? I wonder how many of them right now? For sure every webmaster, bloggers know about Adsense right?
sysop, don't worry, he's not alone. Although it is strange for a blog to earn that poorly...that's more of the type of thing you hear from video or flash game sites.
having a ton of traffic doesnt necessarily mean much. I had a site getting 10-20 uniques a day making $50 a month. A site with that much traffic should have gotten over a hundred way before 2 years.
