nice site as for the PR only being 1, that is typical of Google screwing everything up badly, so don't feel too bad..... they would rather give pr3 to some 3 month old dumb newbie site that has 50 spammed backlinks
Page rank overall isnt of the most important factor, now with all hte changes it means very little in your overall SERP. What are the overall pageranks of those backlinks your getting in? If you are concerned with pagerank, you could always buy a couple high PR backlinks from some established sites, you should see a boost in a few months when a PR update triggers
You probably just don't have very many high PR links. That doesn't matter too much. Worry more about traffic and rankings. PR doesn't always go hand in hand with success for a website.
If I were you, I wouldn't bother about PR anyway as long as there's incoming traffic to the site. Unless of course if you are considering selling links
there are a couple of other very good reasons to worry about pr 1. if you ever try to sell your site 2. if you ever try to sign up for any of the better advertisers, good luck getting your site approved if you don't have a decent PR among other things
Don't worry so much about PR, its a way to throw noobs off. PR means nothing, I have many sites that get high SERPS with low PR, and vice versa. It's a joke.
I disagree with this fact... Most of the webmasters now know how importance pr is..its nothing but a useless scale in my opinion.. I have seen webmasters who purchase websites having pr-1 or even less but has a unique idea or content.. Also PR has nothing to do with your serps..so its the rankings we should worry and not pr
I did a little research for you and found that most of the sites linking to you have no PR. That would be why your PR is so low. While with your kind of site PR shouldn't be a problem as long as you are getting traffic. If you sell advertising space you are going to get many many more people willing to pay you a high price if you have a decent PR. But other than that you just need to worry about traffic. Your alexa looks good. You just need to get links from sites with PR.
PageRank doesn't depend on the domain age. If you don't build up some decent backlinks, it'll stay there for a while. All you have to do is concentrate on the content and build some strong backlinks from RELATED sites.
Your site is very good. In term to increase the PR, you just need to do some simple job such as dofollow posting or dofollow blog commenting.
Your domain is 1 year and 2 months old. The total number of pages that contain links to www.picturerating.us: 2,091 Site is getting fairly low traffic - 100 Daily Visitors Alexa ranking - 400K You should start building quality links to your site, advertising, changing layout/design as that would not be a site I would want to visit at all.
PR is not a matter of concern you should rather concern for getting backlinks and updating your site with unique content. Google love to see fresh content and you need to get backlinks so that they can crawl your site easily
If you have traffic and not looking forward to sell links on your website, then forget about PR and focus on how to get more traffic again and again. PS: Traffic is priceless
thanks a lot for all your friendly comments. PR is not required but its a good sign of reputation, rite? links on Pr1 site offering me 17$/m and Pr3??? some fellows advice me, links with pr... (is it where my link placed or the domain that have the page where my link placed?)
I think you should concentrate on getting some quality backlinks if you want to increase your site's PR. Try to get some backlinks from pages that have high PR. However, the real thing that matters is the traffic, which is not related to PR. How much traffic do you get from SEs?
