websites don't get indexed simply because they are a certain age, there has to be some off page optimization in place (backlinks) in order for the search engines to find the website.

You have zero backlinks, how would any search engine possibly know about you? They don't just randomly try urls.

You already got a couple backlinks just in this thread alone. If you did nothing else, his homepage will be in Google's index in a couple weeks at most. Or get him some PR5+ backlinks, and it'll be a few days.

As of this post, Marketleap's link popularity tool shows zero links to that website. That's why it has not been indexed. How does the webmaster expect the search engines to discover it?

It's a moot point now, though, because the links from this thread will get it indexed soon.

Use that website as a sig. in forums, especially here. Optimize the page. Submit it to dozens of directories, And Digg it. That's the way it is.

If you don't have backlinks how would your site get better ranking on search engine? And where would you get your traffic?

    Just do the following thing
    - Submit google sitemap.
    - Check your robot.txt file.and allow boats to cache your site.
    - and check it boats are coming to your sites or not.coz some times it happen that boats are coming but they take some tome to index the pages.
    - try to get some trusted links so it will help u to index the pages.
    - re-built your internal linking structure.

and wait for 10-15 days i m sure it will index soon.
let me know if u need any help.

    thanks

Obviously if the site has no backlinks how do you expect the SE to respect your site and index it. You should start:

Submitting the site in all the directories.
Postings in high quality forums with signature links.
    Comments on blogs with links.
Active link building through emails and PM’s.
Spread your network in social networking sites.

I looked it up at Google Webmaster Central. It said the site was unknown.
If there were potential indexing problems (ie - bans) then you'd find out about it here.

Most likely reason is lack of links - there aren't any great sites out there which don't have links - so linking is a method Google can rely on and trust to find good web-sites.

You need backlinks, update, content. That will boost your ranking, indexing and cause you to appear. But I am wondering - usually a domain of that age should appear in the SEs, if you type www.domainname.com? There must be something fundamentally wrong.

Contact Google and ask to be for a re-inclusion. Or go and submit to several sites at one time then ask to be re-included. Google is generous all you need to do is ask. They almost always will do it if you explain you bought it from another and when.

I had a similar problem with a domain but that was because it didnt have any content. The moment I added content, in like 2 days, the domain was indexed by every search engine.
