Well I posted about my site being on google after a few days and people said it was a 'honeymoon' and to post in a week or two. http://forums.digitalpoint.com/showthread.php?t=1309998 Site has been live for 2 weeks and here is what I have. 25th: 51 search engine hits 26th: 52 search engine hits (from a few hours ago) 27th (2 hours in): 8 Search Engine Hits http://blackberryvids.com I'm usually getting them from the same 20-40 keywords and I have a main 2 or 3 that get me lots of hits. No SEO experience myself. Couldn't afford to hire anyone so I've been doing my best lately to get the site going. Working 5 days and school two days of the week hasn't helped but only have one more day of school left so I'll be cranking out the site big time. From Yesterday: Visits - 52 % of Site Total: 19.12% Pages/Visit - 2.46 Site Avg: 2.83 (-13.16%) Avg. Time on Site - 00:02:06 Site Avg: 00:01:53 (11.65%) % New Visits - 94.23% Site Avg: 80.51% (17.04%) Bounce Rate - 46.15% Site Avg: 49.26% (-6.31%)
I don't know if I am missing something, but it seems you have a PR already. How did you get the PR if the site is 2 weeks? Or did you buy the domain from somebody?
This site I have up there is currently 2 weeks. If you look at website history (forgot how) I used the domain about 10 months back for 2 or 3 months and since then it's been dead until now.
Reason my site bounce rate is high is because when I create backlinks it's usually on forums and what I do is post a thread for a new Theme update and post the link to the update. So people would go to the update and usually get what they need and leave. That's my take on it. My ads are located within the posts though so I usually don't post the link to the homepage.
You getting traffic because you have a new site with fresh content and google love to crawl new sites you site will be going down after some time then you have to hard work on it and gain your back links then it will be come back (depend on your work).......
Well that's what they said the first time I posted and they said post in a few weeks and see if it is the same. I have plenty of backlinks though so far. Working on adding more.
