Hey I wanted to help you with 2 ways to really find those hidden profits with your business so hear goes: 1. INCREASED EXPOSURE In order for your online or offline business to grow you must expose your product, service and yourself. You must try and think outside the box. There are many different ways to expose such as advertising, flyers, leaflets, pay per click etc.You can even get a badge created with your company logo and when your out and about have it saying " Get Clients Now, ask me How" on your badge and it will start a conversation with someone nearby who has a business. You can even have a printed t-shirt with your URL written on it, always think creatively and outside the box. If you develop the relationship with people, business always follows by referrals and this will be the quickest way to boost your business at first. Start with facebook and create a spreadsheet and speak to the majority of people on your friends list, get to know them first and than slowly introduce your business product or service.Remember every person on your friends list with facebook may know 2,000 + people that you don't know. So word can spread well if do this right. If you already have staff working for you, treat them very well and they will spread the word also about how amazing you and your business is. Get involved at trade fairs. This is where all different types of businesses get together to promote themselves to you. This is often worth the day alone. You can even give freebies away such as buy one product and get a bonus free or to attract new clients offer your service for free to get some testimonials and then start charging.I see this many times on the this forum if you are new and have no track record. When it comes to exposure this is not a one off, but continually exposing your business daily to get the results you want. 2. INCREASED CONVERSIONS The most important thing i learned when i did cold calling for a telemarketing company in the past was they kept telling me " Mark you MUST CLOSE ". If your in telemarketing, you need to build rapport and then ask the closing questions. I was always trying to improve my closing ratios. For example the number of people i asked to buy compared to the number of people that said yes.So if you asked 100 people to buy and 8 said yes, that was an 8% closing ratio. In order to get this conversion up you need to track your customers objections and work on solutions to get past these, as this will be stopping you. Also always track your numbers. If your doing email marketing, track your open rates, click through rates, number of sales etc. There are 3 main stats you need to check daily: 1. Number of leads / subscribers coming in 2. Number of sales 3 Number of clients/ continuity members Everything you do must be tracked and tested to improve including your sales funnel. Everyday ask yourself this question " What is one thing i can tweak/change that will improve my business?" - then implement it immediately and you will see your business grow. The reason why japan is so successful in manufacturing is they use a principle called Kaizen- (which has been used since the second world war) which means continuous improvement. They always improved every process they did daily. One method which many people still fail to do to improve conversions is follow up.The saying is " The fortune is in the follow up" and its true, you need to build trust with people and following up with a letter, email, thank you note etc are great ways to stay in touch with your lists. Hope this helps Kind regards Mark
Both of your tips are great. Exposure and conversion both are necessary. Unless you don't have exposure you won't see conversion, therefore exposure is very important to bring good conversion.
The above tips take time, but they do work. I hear that spending a couple of hours a week on this can make a huge difference.
Offline promotion of an online business wouldn't work well in my opinion cuz they would have to remember the URL to your site and it's just a hassle.
Thanks , i have tried this and it works very well in fact, some examples such as putting an offline advert in a national newspaper got me lots of visitors to my website. Also try handing out business cards to people you meet and people you already know as you can get referrals from them also. Hope that helps
The reason I like paid advertising, as opposed to any free methods, is I get people that are already looking for what I have to offer. That's why AdWords and Bing Ads are hugely successful. You get real, tangible results with little effort (if not counting the effort of creating campaigns). I can make a t-shirt with my company's logo and link on it, I can get involved in trade fairs, etc. etc. but the end result will always be frustrating. You know how they say: "You reap what you sow". I believe if you sow in quality paid campaigns, the end result will always be more rewarding.
