    Hello Gang,

In this post I want to share my learnings over the past 3 months and hope to impart some knowledge. In doing this, hopefully I will receive some much needed insights and advice from fellow webmasters as well.

Our first site that we launched was a passion project. It is a great site, and continues to see traffic growth. The site is located at PUA Lingo. We are seeing about 2,000 page views a day with a 50% month to month growth rate. The problem with this site right now is that we are not big enough (in terms of traffic) for direct advertiser deals, and the AdSense earnings for this particular industry is terrible. I would say, 5 cents to $1 clicks, averaging about 25 cents per click. This means that, in order to get toe $100 it takes 400 clicks. The CTR requirement is too high.

The next site was NOT a passion project, we developed it specifically for adsense. It is at Cheap Liposuction Prices. This site has pretty high CPC conversion. We're seeing some traction as SEO sets in. But, the competition is high, there are a lot of people in this industry for the adsense angle and making money sites. I am unsure what to do with this one.

So now we are stuck with 2 sites, one doing well in traffic, low CPC, the other doing well in CPC< low in traffic.

Any thoughts / suggestions from the group?

    Many thanks in advance,

    -AW

25c/click is very good usualy 10c is the most common

So 400 clicks for 100$ is not bad at all actualy good
Is not easy to make much money online if it was ... then evrybody could do it ..

I always look for the high paying sites and try to get as much traffic through articles and blog commenting. And for the 400 clicks to make a hundred, that is good already, problem with low ctr is that the payouts are not that good and got stuck with .25 and less.

    Thanks

If you are already getting 2000 visitors a day for the first blog, I would work on improving the CTR by playing around with ad placements and get a higher CTR rate.

Well, improve the low performing webpages on your most trafficked website. Add some high paying keywords and test places for google Adsense.

    Hm. Good ideas guys

I like the idea of adding more high value keywords, although there arent that many in this market.

We are working on tweaking CTRs... its been hard going so far, low conversions. 0.5% CTR overall. The right hand banner 160x600 is really low converting, less than 0.1%, interestingly the conversion of the low comment box ads are pretty high.

    Thanks for the advice,
