2 Sites 1 Earning More

I have 2 sites, well 1 blog and 1 site. Blog is almost 3 years old, site is 3 months old but has more pages, more content. Both have adsense. My blog (which is blogger) earns more per page impression then the site. Any reason why that would be? It would take 200 page impressions to earn anything most days.

Really? The better question would by why you would expect to entirely different sites to earn the EXACT same amount?

Take some time to do some research about how Adsense Works.

Why do Nike's cost more than Shovels?

Why don't Apples taste just like Oranges?

It's the same subject that is why. Content is similar. I use the blogger page to help drive traffic to the new site, but the new site has more content, more indepth information then the blogger page, but it is the same subject and the site has more adsense. Thus I would expect it to earn the same or more. It's not apples to apples. It's a small apple to a huge apple.

its what appeal to people. depending on your ad placement, some site will generate more clicks than others. maybe your blogger layout and ad placement is generating more clicks than your site

Since the site is just new, work harder to drive more traffic on it. Ad placements and traffic could be the reasons why the blog generate more earnings, check those factors and see the difference.

    Hi Copymoves:

I was talking about impressions not clicks. That's is the confusion. The new sites does get more clicks then the blogger site but the blogger earns just for impressions, where as the new site so far doesn't earn much or it takes it like 200 impressions to earn a cent. Old blogger site can earn a cent just after 16 impressions (the other day it earn .44 for 16 impressions).

Both sites get a steady flow, blogger site averages 150 new visits a day new site 250 a day.

I just thought it was odd the impressions wouldn't be earned at the same rate and thought someone knew any rational behind it.

    Thanks anyway!

I could be wrong as I'm new to this stuff but Im pretty sure that adsense pays out more depending on the google rank of a site. I'm also pretty sure that blogger sites rank faily well with google so maybe that has something to do with it?

It totally depends on niche/ keywords your targeting etc. Just test to figure it out.

    Thanks Guys & Gals!

Wanksta22 I read your book reviews from the link and it maybe that my blogger site is almost 3 years old and on blogger, I think you replied to on poster that as it ages it earns more. So that may factor in as well.

For $17 I may get your e-book, as I was thinking I need 1 site to earn $$, not a bunch niche sites to earn big bucks. BUT between both my blogger site and my main site (same niche) this week I'm average $25 day (that is with adsense, affiliate stuff and such not just adsense).

    Humm, new food for thought!
