2 Sitemaps 1 Site

    Hi Everyone,

    I have established a new wordpress site recently and built a sitemap for it.
    Now I added a new sub niche in the site that in a different directory (example.com = Original site , example.com/NewSubNiche = The New Sub niche).
    Is it bad to create 2 different sitemaps for it? or under the same domain it's better to create 1 sitemap?

    i think there is no harm to add more than 1 sitemap
    but i thinks using subdomain is always better than directories .

    i have one sitemap.rss and one sitemap.xml, but also you can have sitemap.xml and sitemal-news.xml

    It doesn't matter! Besides, there is also no point in creating another sitemap just for subniche unless your first sitemap already exceed the 50,000 limit.

    There is nothing wrong with creating two site maps . But More effective is to create a Sub domain for blog and directory will work more better .

    Google has no problems with a number of sitemaps. With sites having a large number of pages, on many occasions have I seen a number of sitemaps submitted to Webmasters.
